The World's Fastest Indian Was Made With A Relativ

The World's Fastest Indian was made with a relatively low budget and was therefor only shown in a few cinemas around the country.Nevertheless this film is a truly inspirational story about a 63 year old man who's life ambition is to beat the land speed record. He does this on a 40+ year old Indian Scout Motorcycle which had an original top speed of 56mph. Burt Munro was an old man from Invercargill New Zealand who lived in a shed. We first see him warming up this odd looking contraption and waking up the neighbors. A short time into the film a young mob of motorcyclists want to challenge this legend, so there is a race on the beach. We see Burt's old Indian and think its going to fall to pieces as it doesn't want to start. Next minuet we see this 63 year old man flying past this young mob and he hasnt even got out of first gear. From this moment we know that this bike is capable of getting the land speed record. He then decided to re-mortgage his shed and sets off for Bonneville salt flats to take on the mighty challenge. The story is mainly about how this old warrior overcame his age and the fact he was suffering from Angina and Prostate troubles and made his way across America to Utah. On his travels he meets: Transvestites, Mexicans, Rattlesnakes, Naughty old women and Indians. The whole story never gets dull as there is always something to keep you hooked. Its great to see how the fact that he is an old man with a 40+ year old motorcycle overcomes his troubles and still manages to have a timed run on his bike even though he hasn't even applied. The other people there for speed week accept him and help him even though no one thought he could get past 70 mph.Overall I recommend this film 20000% and Suggest you buy it, you will not regret it.

I Loved This Film Very Light Hearted. A True Story

I loved this film very light hearted. A true story which had me captivated. Anthony Hopkins plays this character very convincingly who seemed like a lovely gentle man. The film has little twists where it has you anticipating things which dont happen. A very endearing film!
