Stardoll Review

Stardoll is a site for tweens, (ages 8 and up ideally) it offers young girls to create an avatar, or 'MeDoll' and hair, eyes, lips and other features can be chosen for it. Children are also given their own 'suite' or apartment and this can be decorated with wallpaper, carpet, and other interior items. Stardoll also lets girls buy clothes from the fictional 'Starplaza' however there are some real-life brands stocked, such as Dior, Chanel and YSL tributes and Miss Sixty and Killah shops. On Stardoll girls can talk to and make new friends from right on the other side of the world.

This might all sound amazing, however there is a 'Superstar' membership, which opens up more features to members, such as selling clothes, designing clothes, and more choice at the shop. However you have to spend real money in order to get this 'Superstar' membership, and many parents will not want to do this. But you can just about get by on Stardoll with a regular membership; especially if you are ex-superstar, but Stardoll restricts a lot of features for regular members to make Superstar membership more tempting.

All in all Stardoll is a good site for girls to make friends, unleash their creativity and be themselves, however it would be a lot better if you didn't need to spend any real money on it in order to enjoy it more.
