This multi stand tilts and pivots making it almost universal. I used it in conjunction with a Triton Superjaws work bench, for supporting 4x4 x 12ft posts while I routed and sanded them. The combination of the multi stand and super jaws worked very well together. Have a good look at the packaging that the multi stand comes in for pictures showing different uses of the product. I particularly like the way that the multi stand incorporates a clamp which can be used for holding doors in place, freeing up the use of a hand. The built in clamp can also hold a piece of board, to raise the working height if required. The cheapest place I found when purchasing the multi stand was Amazon. There is a small amount of assembly required when you get it home, but it's quite straight forward. All in all, a good bit of kit, that should give many years of service.

Overall the Triton MSA200 Multi Stand has been good and helped me in many situations. Sometimes what I like about a tool is that it has the potential, with some extra work, to be exactly what I want - this is one of those tools. I had looked at most of its competition, but still, this stand came out on top.
Height adjustment is difficult with a long (and heavy) piece of wood on it and I will be fitting a different mechanism such as rack and pinion or vertical screw to make it right. A further locking telescopic section would also be good. The current locking mechanism for the main height support is a tad pathetic.
