We called in with friends, and were immediatel greeted with a smile, a nice change usually just get a nod in new places. We booked a table and all three courses were fantastic. Chef came out to make sure all was O K. Not much to dislike about this place. Not refined restaurant seating, but heck the meal far exceeded our expectations. Well done to all

Great home made food, good service, very family and dog friendly.
Very good range of vegetarian options and willing to go off menu if given enough warning. All in all Peterborough Arms is a wonderful counrty pub/restaurant, well worth a visit.

The Peterborough Arms is a typical, country pub. Ample parking space on either side and a large grassed area where you can walk your dog or play with the children. Food is all freshly prepared so you have to expect maybe 30 mins to have it served. Portions are reasonable, however, working on a tight budget as most pub owners do, it would not go amiss to 'beef up' on the veg to make the meal more appetizing. Very friendly; no complaints there.

Friendly atmosphere, good choices of wines, food always good, (especially as i have a daughter that is a funny eater, they are always willing to make her what she likes),

Now taken over by new people the Peterborough Arms, Dauntsey has been transformed from an unfriendly overpriced and awful atmosphere to the exact opposite. A rare treasure for new management who are working hard to demonstrate how a pub should be run. Can do nothing but recommend going there - go anytime in the week to meet a wide range of customers and excellent hosts - book for sunday if you really want to eat as this pub is getting a reputation and its getting difficult to get in. Closed on Monday

An outstanding level of service seldom found in the hospitality industry. As Peterborough Arms in Dauntsey did the catering for my wedding four years ago, I had no qualms about asking the landlord to do the catering for my daughters Christening. The food is always prepared and presented to the highest standard, and is always piping hot from the kitchen. As a dog owner, it's a lovely place to be able to attend as a 'full' family where the dog is welcome and we can all relax and enjoy our meal. Nothing is ever any trouble, accommodating pushchairs and wheelchairs comes easily to the landlord and his wonderful staff. Even my in-laws return for a meal when they visit from Norfolk! Now that has to be a good reputation!!

Peterborough Arms in Dauntsey is a local friendly pub with excellent food cooked by the owner. The meals are always piping hot and the portions will keep even the hungriest travellers satisfied. You are allowed dogs in the bar section which is ideal if you have been out walking and want to have a pleasant lunch. (doggie meals available)
They have live music on certain days ranging from "Stars in their Eyes" acts to Jazz bands. These nights are popular so you are better booking for a good table.
Not the place for pretentious snobs but if you like good quality food in a local pub atmosphere, then give this place a try.

The Peterborough Arms has to be the worst 'restaurant' I have ever been to. Easily the worst food I have ever been served in any restaurant. Unfriendly, aggressive staff.
