the idea of an sea life center is to let you enjoy the underwater world and all of the marine creatures, great yarmouth sea life did not.the place is small and does not even fill 1 hour maybe not even 30 min, also a sea life center should include many different marine and freshwater animals.i do not call 5 tanks of nothing a sea life i call it a ripoff.over £40.00 we spent to walk round for 5 mins,i would have found more in a pet shop. also lying staff adds to the equation that this is not a place to visit.as soon as i arrived i ask nicely is this suitably for a 12 year old the staff member said "yes" i think not with him being the oldest child their and with all the viewing glasses of the tank up to his knee,i recomend don't waste time at great yarmouth sea life.

“The staff make this visit a joy”

This review is for Sealife in Great Yarmouth We booked tickets for Sealife on their website before arriving in Great Yarmouth (well worth doing as you save a fortune on the door price!) I have to say, if I had stumbled upon it once in Great Yarmouth I would have walked on by. From the outside it looks very disappointing. The building itself is fairly small and is set on a street packed full of other attractions and amusement type venues Once inside though there is a surprising amount to see and all of the exhibits are well labelled. The thing that really makes this though are the staff. All of them are friendly, helpful, smiling and there to make your day a pleasure. We are so used to poor service in the UK I was quite blown away by the people working at Sealife. On a few separate occasions staff came up to us and asked if we wanted to know more about the exhibit we were looking at or if we had any questions. There were a lot of people keen to help and all of them were polite and well informed. You get your hand stamped on entry so you can come and go all day - useful if you pay & display park (there is no parking) The cafe has an average menu of 'meal deals' but if you buy a meal for yourself you get a free child meal which is a saving of about £4. The food is fresh and actually good for what it is. The menu does say that all meals come with fruit, which was sadly lacking the day of our visit. The menu could do with some healthy options, but other than that the cafe was very good One other gripe is the soft play area clearly states children should be 3'9 and under to enter (it is a very small ball pit area). There were a few bigger children in there and no-one seemed to be responsible for policing the usage (my son is only 2 and although quite in to rough and tumble came out in tears, not wanting to go back in) All in all this is a great place to visit. Lots to see, lots to learn and lots of fun
