Went to Eden recently for a wedding breakfast, had a fantastic time, lovely meal and a great venue. Service was adequate. The live music later in the evening was impressive. Will be visiting again very soon.

Have eaten there on many occasions. The last time I visited was an evening wedding reception. The event was themed and the staff had gone all out to comply with the wishes of the happy couple. The comments from the guests were extremely positive. I had the most wonderful time, great venue, attentive staff and of course great food.I would highly recommend Eden Bar and Restaurant for daytime or evening meals and of course for your special event.

The overal impression of Eden was very positive. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Me and my boyfriend went to Eden on Valentines day, and so it was to be expected that it would be busy; however we did feel rushed through and as though they were just trying to turnover heads as quick as possible. The guy on the table next to us had a tray of drinks spilt over him and was sitting in a wet chair with no attempt of it being cleaned up and the tills went out of service causing a delay at the end of the evening. Although, in despite of this I would return to the Eden restaurant again because I thought the food was brilliant and the restaurant had been decorated very well.

had Christmas dinner here and it was worth every single penny. Fabulous service and very personalised. Great food and good quality. Nice surroundings and atmosphere.

I ate at the Eden Restaurant in october with family; tried their specials weekday menu which I was pleased with. Service was good although it was quiet in the restaurant. I believe they changed ownership a month or so after that.
Tried a Saturday night in early December. Service was not good and wait was terrible. They had run out of alot of the courses and their credit card machine wasn't working so they accepted cash only. We were told about this AT THE END of our meal! Everyone in the restaurant had to pop out to find a cash machine. Food was good though. We believed it to be change of ownership issues as staff weren't really sure of what they were doing.
So decided to give it another go. A group of 8 of us had dinner at Eden on Friday 12th June 2009. I rang up to book and they suggested that we come at 8.15pm as there was a group booked for 7.30pm and best to spread out the orders. I was impressed that they had thought of this. We were seated and given menus. It took them half an hour to come back to take our orders. The starters took ages, then the wait for the meal was over an hour. Wished they'd informed us of the backlog. My friends were so hungry we asked for baskets of bread (which was lovely by the way)! Eventually both the starters (chicken liver pate and soup were both delicious) and main meals were excellent (salmon, beef burger, rump steak, sirloin steak, langoustines). Only complaint was that the langoustines with tagelitelle were really cold when they arrived and we asked for them to be heated.

Booked for birthday meal as had eaten pleasant meals there in the past. I found the food to be overpriced for the number of mistakes (for example, almost £20 for a steak that was well done rather than 'rare' as requested as well as burnt potatoes). The real issue was with the response we received to our complaints - seemed very defensive, left us waiting for response. We would definitely not go again. However, in terms of food, some of the meals were ok but rather too expensive for quality.
Would not go again: seems a bit hit and miss having spoken to others about it. Have had a nice meal there in the past but the above experience has left a nasty (burnt!) taste in my mouth and I would not recommend it for a special occasion.

This is my favourite restaurant in Coventry. We haven't had a bad meal here, and we tend to use it for special occasions. We heard that the restaurant had changed hands and wasn't any good now, but this certainly is not the case, and we would recommend the Eden restaurant to anybody wanting good food in nice surroundings.

We booked a table well in advance at the Eden restaurant in Coventry, and was asked to pre-order the food from the online menu. I thought this was unusual for a quality restaurant, but did it anyway. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, not only did we have to wait 45 minutes for our table to be ready, but they had lost our order and we had to order again! Excellent high quality food, but marred by the slow service and long delays, on a not particularly busy night.
