“Badly Let Down”

I used Karen's cards a couple of years ago for my parents Golden Wedding party - excellent. So naturally when looking for invitations and bridal favours I chose Karens cards. Invitations arrived and was happy but despite numerous e-mails - with no response - no favours received - thats £71 that has just disappeared. I have mailed Karen again today but I am not expecting a response so shall be taking this up with my credit card company and having to look for replacements. I am not only angry but extremely disappointed to be let down like this.

“Simply the worst!!!”

Same experiences as everyone else by the looks of it. Ordered invitations in January finally got them end of April. Quality of invitations was poor- RSVP cards smudged and overall appearance bland- certainly get what you pay for. I could have done better myself if I had tried!!! 6 weeks to go to the wedding and no post box or guest book. No replies to my mails and I think she has either gone out of business or just burying her head in the sand. I spent £300 on my order which is still incomplete. Out of all the things I have organised this has certainly stressed me out the most and you can do without it. It is the principle of the money by paying up front you do this in good faith and I have certainly learnt my lesson I will never pay for any goods in full until I receive them. Hopefully Karen will not pursue her business any further but to refund the money for the goods she has not supplied would be her parting gift to her unhappy customers surely.

“Still no goods!! ”

I ordered some save the date cards in febuary. Still no goods. The website has shut down now. I have emailed her and no responce. The last email I have threatened legal action if I don't get a responce or a refund. This is so upsetting. It was the first thing I did for my wedding after booking the venue. I was so excited and now im just so deflated. £50 might not be alot of money to some people but it is to me! Gutting. Still no reply to my last email. I have all my correspondence and order date. I'm going to contact the office of fair trading now. Do not use this company!!!!

“still awaiting our guest book”

Last year I ordered our save the date cards with her and I was very impressed. So in January I ordered our wedding invitations, o how things went down hill from here! We didnt receive the invitations till weeks after we ordered them,one reason being she did the colours wrong and had to change all of them. She tried to blame my ordering but I was having none of it! she did change them all to my surprise and we soon received them the week after. But we are still awaiting our guest book!! she said it would be with us in 2 wks, still nothing. After reading all of these reviews I've come to terms with us never receiving it, to be fair its not big money Ive lostm unlike some people but its just so frustrating the lack of communication. Next step is to try contact the bank,but I dont have my original order details, so not sure if I'll get anywhere. Would be helpful if anyone has any helpfull tips in trying to get my money back?? So the main thing I would say is she's taken to much work on and is unable to cope with it. But instead of being honest with everyone she has just ditched evereything and buried her head in the sand - great!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!!!! TERRIBLE IS ALL I CAN SAY!!!!! Ordered in November and still not had my goods (£80 worth of cards, post box etc) Currently in contact with VISA for a refund/investigation!!!! Id recommend anybody having the same problem to contact their bank. So upsetting as must email her at least once a week and I'm ignored!!!!!!

Do yourself a favour and do not order from Karens Cards. Totally awful customer service, cannot believe they call themselves a business. If you're planning your wedding you really don't need the additional stress of ordering from these scam artists.

“DO NOT USE KAREN'S CARDS!!!!”

Since I placed an order with Karen's Cards they are no longer accepting any new orders. What a surprise!!!! I paid for Fast Delivery (7-10 days)invites did not arrive until over a month later. This was our second attempt at invites for my daughter's wedding having been 'scammed' on first attempt. This was explained to 'Karen' and we were depending on reliable honest service second time round. A very very stressful time, no contact via emails pursued through NoChex and when demanded refund Karen said invites on way. A week later no invites, to cut a long story short invites arrived and out of 32 invites only 21 were of a decent quality. The others were sub-standard ie smudged ink, address cut off at bottom of invite....totally unacceptable. This is obviously someone who has taken on more than they can cope with, taking money off people and providing poor quality goods for such an important occasion. How they can sleep at night? I have no idea....Be WARNED!!!

“Saved on stationery”

I spent ages looking for my stationery. Hard to go with someone who is so cheap when you see other people charging £3-4 an invite. I took the plunge, a gamble if you like and it paid off. I spent £190 on invites, place cards and a guestbook and post box. Was it well made? Yes Was it worth it? yes. I did have a budget of £500 for this and the £300 i saved we got dollars for our honeymoon. Order times are about average from looking at other sites, the quality was good, and I only ever had to email them a matter of 3 times from placing order to agreeing proofs and then to thank them.

“Personalised Invites for a quid!”

Received my invites (designer) last weekend. Cant moan, ordered on fast delivery and was there in just over a week. 79.00 for my entire invite order. Was I expecting top quality? No, not for that price, but I was happy with them and my budget wedding which didnt have invites planned in, now does! Top notch! Cheers

“Terrible service - order never received”

I ordered a hen album for my friend's wedding to give to her from her bridesmaids on the morning of her wedding. I ordered it 3 months ago, having been told by Karen that it would be with me in 4-5 weeks. The wedding was 6 weeks ago - the album is still not here. I have been chasing for weeks, but have had no response. I just want a refund now, as it clearly isn't on it's way. Of course, Karen is still ignoring my emails. Terrible service and complete lack of communication. I'm just glad I didn't order my own wedding stationery through her.

“Very Poor Service”

We ordered the All that Sparkles and Sophisticated wedding invitations. We were very happy with both sets of cards, they are very nice and well done. Unfortunately, whilst the cards are very nice, the service we received wasn’t the best. Now we knew there would be a delay as Karen told us she was mowed out with orders so we ordered using the express delivery, as Karen told us the invitations would come within a couple of weeks. Alas, the cards took six weeks to come. We kept emailing for updates but our emails were not responded to very quickly or not at all. Finally Karen informed us that she was making the cards and that due to the delay in despatch she would refund our express delivery charge. We were fine with that so long as the cards looked okay. The cards came and we were happy with them but we received no refund as stated. I emailed Karen asking about the refund but got no reply. I tried two more emails but again Karen has not had the decency to reply and I have had no refund. I would recommend the cards as they are very nice and a good price. But I have to say that the service I received was terrible. When someone says they are going to refund something then I expect it to happen and for Karen not to even reply to my emails is appalling. It would seem that Karen was happy to get my money but she is not interested in anyone as soon as the order is sent out. Although I liked the cards sent, I would not use Karen’s Cards again because of the bad service received.

“Value for money”

I booked KC in Feb 2011 for my October wedding, and from start to finish its been hassle free. THe only error that was made was I changed my delivery address as I moved and it was sent to my old address, luckily i didnt live far... Karens cards were always happy to help and i received everything when promised.

“Order never recieved.”

Placed an order to be told 3 weeks later that the items i required were unavail. The promised me a refund immediately & i am still waiting 4 weeks later. I am now at the point where i have had to report to paypal as they are no longer responding. Its the worst experience i have ever recived when ordering online & would recommend you not 2 buy!!!!!!!

“6 week wait for smudged invites”

The price seemed very good value compared to other sites and printers. However I had to wait six weeks for them to arrive and when they did 1 in 3 were smudged. It was too late to order more by then. No response at all to two emails to complain. We also ran out of invites. I didn't count them as some had already gone out but I wonder if there weren't enough sent. Would not recommend. Buy cheap buy twice as they say!

“I ordered my save the date cards from Karen's Cards...”

I ordered my save the date cards from Karen's Cards and initially was very impressed with both the cards and the time in which it took to receive them. Karen had very good customer service (I thought) which is why I chose to order through her.

I then ordered my wedding invitations on the 20th of March this year (my wedding is at the end of August) thinking that it would be no time at all before I received them. Its now over 8 weeks later and I am yet to hear anything yet.

To be fair to Karen we didn't agree an order time when I placed my order for the wedding invitations, as I thought I would have sufficient time to receive them. However, even by the time scales given on her website (approx 7 weeks) the service is slow. What worries me the most however is that Karen has stopped responding to my emails altogether. I have sent three so far and all I need to know is that the invitations are coming (eventually) but I have had no response.

As I can't really stretch my budget to buy wedding invitations from somewhere else, at this point I am looking at having to email all of my guests instead, and crossing my fingers that something turns up at some point.

Unfortunately I didn't see the reviews on this site before ordering in the first place, but if I had read them first I'm not sure I would have ordered in the first place.

With a bit of luck I might hear something back soon, or receive my invites at some point. I will keep you posted!
