The Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 is an amazing webcam. Brilliant video and amazing picture quality, i am using this for stop motion animation. this is so easy to set up and i have made many animations with it. i am very happy with this product.

Altogether a great product, and excellent value for money!

My Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 webcam will not work with iChat. No matter what I tried I could not get it to work with my Mac's iChat. What was even worse was the poor technical support. I tried three times to get on the phone with Logitech, but not only were they inept at helping me, but they were not very nice about it.

Someone at Logitech needs to be more sympathetic to Mac users when they are trying to get technical support on the phone.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 picture quality is very good, works well on MSN messenger. (I haven't used it with any other video software.)

The built in microphone is very sensitive - I can sit on a chair at the other side of the room and still continue a video conversation with a friend, can be heard without having to shout.

The software suite which comes with it allows you to record and compress video (with sound) and automatically send the file via email, this is a very useful feature.

As the connection is only USB 1.1, when recording sound and video on the highest resolution, the picture is a bit jaggedy, which is a shame, as this is the only negative point.

The Logitech Quickcam Pro 4 is not only a great communication but an essential one for my social existence. Being holed up down in here in Bristol meant I never got to see some of the good old country boys back home in the Deep South. Well thanks to this great piece of technology, that has changed. I can now talk to all my old buddies back on the ranch at the click of a mouse and even hold my own webcasts if I want to organise a group meeting. I can tell them how I'm getting on here in the United Kingdom and they can fill me in on business back home. I can't put a value on this camera, it's that important to me.

Technically, this webcam steps up to the plate, as it provides great pictures and transmits brilliantly. I wouldn't be with out it and neither should you. Hank.
