Hoover DYN10166PG Washing Machine

We brought the Hoover DYN10166PG washing machine from Curry's and it leaked the first time we used it but we managed to fix it ourselves after we noticed that the rubber door seal had pulled away from the housing but that was only the start of our troubles.

During the next 12 months period we had to call out the engineer four times and know we could had taken out insurance cover (Not cheap on Hoover machine, I wonder why) but decided not to throw good money after bad and stared to save for a new machine, one with a 5 year manufactures warrantee from SamSung who have faith in their machines.

The computer going wrong was one of the faults during the first year and it came as no shock to us when two months out of warrantee the dam thing went wrong again, H04 Computer error but the computer could not be broken that much because it was still able to display the error message which makes me ask myself if it a scam and these things have built in self destruct dates.

We did contact Hoover who said they would send out an engineer if we paid them £100 but fortunately we had done our homework and found that few engineers are willing to criticize Hoover because Hoover had been known to make life difficult for such engineers (Google it)

The machine looks super cool, easy to use however Hoover was a good name but it seems that they have moved jobs abroad, build quality has declined and today they are trading on a repartition that is no longer deserved.
