My washing machine likes to dance around kitchen....dented panel due to hitting pipe work. Have had an engineer out on 5 occasions now....still leaking and bouncing around the room. Will not do half loads. Will never buy Hoover again RUBBISH.!!the last visit left the repair man scratching his head!

Very dissapointed with this machine. Sounds like we have a similar story to many other people. We needed a new machine asap and purchased this in a rush, pushy salesman in Currys, deal will end toinght blah, blah, blah, also guarunteed that Hoover was a reliable brand and good quality machine. Really wish we had gone home, done some homework and read some reviews. Only problem with this approadh is that the manufacturers change their model numbers on a regular basis. Therefore you have to opt to purchase an 'old' model with a track record, or take a punt on a new machine with no reviews. After about a year the door seal failed and thankfully was replaced under warranty. The main problem though is that machines spin cycle was always quite noisy, but the vibrations got gradually worse and worse. After a couple of years the vibrations got so bad that the 'out-of-balance' spin sensor kicked in and the machine refused to spin. This started intermittanly but progressed to faling to spin approx 90% of the time (even on full loads). Being an Engineer I decided to strip the machine and investigate. Conclusion - The spring and damper setup is completely wrong. The dampers are place below the machine in a near vertical position. therefore they so not react any of the sideways motion of the drum. Also the damper pin connection is relatively loose and does not effectively transmit small loads. Our machine is about three years old now, like others I have thought about contacting Hoover/Candy, but opted not to waste my time. I have chose to replace the machine with a Bosch model and going to scrap the old machine. Lesson learnt, buy cheap and replace every 3 years....

The moral of this story is, read the reviews before you buy. More importantly I can,t believe Hoover are,nt aware of this hapless machine. I,m sure it should of been recalled. I,m awaiting an engineers call. Probably to tell me its going to cost a lot to mend. I seriously think this machine should be referred to trading standards as its not suitable for its purpose. I think if this machine was plumbed into a football field it would bang and travel from goal to goal!

nothing but problems with this machine from day one taught floor was level but no the banging and dancing is unbearable hoover should b ashamed the money for this is not cheap never buy again hoover your gonna loose lots of customers because of this and shame on currys recommending it never again I will blacklist your name

I would say that this has to be the worst purchase ever. Had I known how bad this machine was I would not have wasted my money calling out an engineer a couple of months ago and parted with over a hundred pounds. I have experienced the machine jumping around , concrete falling off , etc. Needless to say I will purchase another washing machine which will hopefully last more than 3 years and not Hoover.

The worst machine ever bangs jumps on spin no matter what load is in it even tired it empty and still the same its level and on flat floor

Bought this machine in January 2012 because of its large capacity and variable spin speeds. However, if you don't want it to wash for hours then you have to put up with a spin speed of 800 which generally means you need to spin again! And whenever you spin its the noisiest washing machine ever and it jumps around the room leaving black marks from the feet all over the floor. Have had to replace the bushes twice, which I did myself as the labour cost was ridiculous so not worth having a 5 year guarantee. It has now gone bang (literally) altogether after only 3 years!! Will not be buying another Hoover.

We used to trust the Hoover brand. We bought the machine in January 2012. Liked the speed, capacity and price. No initial problems, so wrote a favourable review when asked by Reevoo. You'll notice that all their favourable reviews are written shortly after purchase. But time tells! The combination of high speed abd high capacity doesn't work. It produces excessive vibration, loud bangs, and movement around the floor of up to 50 cm each cycle! The engineer called today for the third time. Very pleasant, very quick, and very loyal to Hoover! Another new programmer, another software update. We'll see! We used to trust the Hoover brand. No more. This is a shoddy machine which Hoover should offer to replace.

I bought this machine for three reasons: a) Immediate availability from the shop (Currys), I needed a machine urgently. b) larger than standard capacity, 8kg and c) 29 min wash programme. I have not been disappointed on any element. Every wash, whatever programme I choose is exactly what it should be and good results are delivered every time. I am not particularly careful when I load up the machine i.e. I do not worry whether it is loaded level or not - I just 'bung' the load in, although I do make sure I never overload it but I have never had my machine 'walking around' the room. In fact it's never moved at all. I have had the machine nearly 2 years now and can only speak as I find and that is, a totally reliable machine which gives excellent wash results and still looks good and performs well after 2 years.

Purchased in Haste and regretted every wash, at 5 months the machines plastic drum broke, Hoover made me purchase a extended warranty otherwise they would not repair it! Fault after fault ever since alas finally today it broke for good! It has a motor issue it's 2 years and 8 months old, it is the noisiest washing machine I have ever had, we could not hold a conversation when it took off. Never again would I purchase a Hoover washing machine rubbish goods, rubbish service, at not cheap price.

We had this washing machine and the paddles keep breaking door catch went now this has shaken itself for bits causing a wiring fault even though I balanced it then to top it all the door leaked in between were it screws together so I took it apart and they did not even put a seal in between they left it uptown the door rubber that it only touches the glass by the tip of the seal so when it goes soft after wear and tear u get a massive leak so I redesigned it with bathroom sealant also water kept pouring out the soap draw due to keep blocking up when the engineer squeezes the pipe it freed but blocked again because they charge thinking it was our fault I stripped down only to find a clothes peg in there not of ours I mean you would notice a clothes peg in the soap draw but overall I would only buy now a Bosch washing machine

I agree with other reviews regarding the dancing washing machine - purchased May 2012 and have had engineers out twice - they replaced bits and bobs and it worked well again. Today I thought it was going to explode - I was actually quite frightened - the drum mid spin fell to the floor with concrete and bolts ! I took extended warranty and will contact help desk - I just thought I would google reviews before call and this has proven useful. I certainly will not buy Hoover washing machine again

had my machine just 2 years yes danced around loud noises on a fast spin a week ago concrete inside dented the front of machine on a fast spin when stopped concrete disintergrated all over the floor and has cracked in half been in touch with hoover twice apparently a engineer is coming to inspect it next Tuesday we,ll see.

walks on its own. bearings have gone on drum already and only had 18 months. has anyone had any joy from currys or hoover?? Totally avoid hoover - do not buy!!! ITS CRAP!!! Would not recommend the machine or any hoover product to anyone looking for an electrical appliance. Would not recommend currys to anyone looking to buy anything electrical.

This is a joke, Has anyone had any joy with Hoover taking the machine back as a defective product or indeed currys. I have put up with my machine for 18months. I cannot take it any more. All the comment you mention are true, banging, walking bashing I dare not wash more than 1kg at a time! If just taken the top off and found the concrete weight to be fractured/cracked. This is really dangerous. The block a So has many wounds where it has whacked the top (say every wash) The springs are intact but the oil filled rams at the base look greasy. Perhaps the rams are defective. I would have thought that the damaged weight could could severe injuries or even death if unlucky. Has anyone been injured. Surly a big company like curry and Hoover cannot dismiss this problem as the could be liable to corporate manslaughter or at least a good fat law suit Hoover, what the hell are you doing. Have some pride and sort this out please.

Total RUBBISH!It knocks, it bangs, it moves. Mine has something striking the casing inside with such force it must be causing untold damage.All this and neither CURRYS NOR HOOVER are remotely interested. It is blatently obvious the machine has a design fault and as such is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE and should never have reached the retail market. SHAME ON YOU Both Currys and Hoover. We the gullible public have been MUGGED

Have had this washing machine for 18mths itstarted to bounce around loud noises. ..after investigation I discovered the tub weight had broken in half & disintegrated...reading above comments its not just me...fuming I paid over £300 I paid to last 18mths wont be buying hoover again
