Voip solution FriendCaller has major problems when calling landlines

99% of the calls I have made - oops, tried to make! - to landline phones, using FriendCaller, have failed miserably one way or the other. I paid in advance and won't get my money back. Most calls I make are 'dropped' within seconds [or less]; some never get that far, a few stutter back to life, but only very intermittently and for a few more seconds. In many attempts, I think I've only had success with one call. Support by email proved to be poor. After 1 or 2 emails from FriendCaller - nothing. Their presence on Facebook has turned into pure farce. Last week the app page was taken over or hijacked by a games company. Soon after I posted about that situation on the FriendCaller wall on Facebook, the wall disappeared ... to be replaced by an image of FriendCaller.

I'd rather give it zero stars out of five, but that deson't seem to be an option here. Conclusion - for making calls to landlines, based on my experience - FriendCaller is useless. I was hoping for something better than Skype, but it's far, far worse than Skype on Skype's bad days, and not a patch on Google Voice when that was working in the UK earlier this year.
