Freeland Cars Of Waukesha, Wi.
I contacted Freeland Cars for a Chrysler Sebring 2010 Convertible. Right from the start, they were very friendly and not an over bearing sales push to just sell the vehicle. They explained everything, on the car, the vehicles history and local trade in on this vehicle. It was a relaxed atmosphere during the whole process. I felt very comfortable and not pushed into anything during the buying process. These people are a pleasure to work with. If I ever need another used vehicle, I will call them first. The only complaint I have is that I could not put the top down driving away from the dealership, because it was snowing that day.

Long Wait To Be Threatened
Friday May 21 I visited Jim Glover on the River in Tulsa and after an all afternoon ordeal signed the contract Let me say the salesmen are professional used car salesmen! I had to ask several times for my keys before the manager told them it was okay. I was thinking of leaving. Finally the finance guy finished the deal. I couldn.t drive the van home because they had to service and detail the van. Okay.
Wednesday May 26 I called Jim Clover on the River at approximately 11:00 and was informed my van would be ready in 2 to 3 hours. We arrived approximately 1:00 and was informed my van wasn't ready. They had to get a tail-light bulb. We asked around 5:30 and the pro used car salesman informed us my van just entered detailing. My frazzled patience couldn't believe the pros at Jim Glover couldn't service a vehicle that was sold in 5 days. I admittedly said I will clean my van. The manager said they contracted out the detailing so had no say to how they do the work. He said he would call and have them stop what they were doing. My van was delivered with the same plastic bag in the back. The manager suggested to my wife to return next week for detailing. She called Monday and the pro salesman suggested next week due to rainy weather. He said he would call. Jim Glover salesman didn't call. My wife called several times over the week without any return calls. Her last call she was informed the particular pro had a family issue and was out.
Friday June 19 Fort Sill Credit Union finally called to verify contract. Monday my wife contacted Jim Glover to ask about resolving the problem of the thirty day tag expiring. During this conversation the detailing issue came uo. The business manager promised to check into it, The pro used car salesman called, told my wife she was supposed to call. Then stated because you said you had to wait 5 hours you will have to wait when you bring the van in! Ah, could the long wait I endured during the entire process be because I irritated the pro salesman at Jim Glover on the River in Tulsa?

Bait And Switch
I found the car I REALLY wanted and filled out credit application, etc. I had a screen shot of the car and price; $10,000.
When the salesman called the next day he said “we DO have a car like that, but it is $12,000. We have NEVER had one at 10K” I sent him the picture of the car that was priced lower the day before. It was the EXACT same car! Very same picture.
I have excellent credit, so maybe they figured I would just fall for it. I would try to find somewhere with honesty!

Carfax Cutomer Service Is Horrible!
As a small used car dealer we depend on Carfax to show our customers the history of the vehicles that they are purchasing. We have used Carfax for many years. Recently we have had some billing issues. Besides the fact that Carfax is stupid expensive. We have paid our bill on time every month for the past 5 years. Just in November, we mailed our monthly payment to their "secure lock box", which they stated was at a bank. A month or so later we received a call from carfax stating that they hadn't received payment. We looked into our bank records and found that the check that was mailed to their "secure lockbox", apparently was taken by one of their employees, or someone that has access to their "secure lock box". The check was altered, changing the "pay to the order of" from Carfax. The checked was cashed and was paid through our bank. I called Carfax SEVERAL times to see what could be done. They simply stated, "Wasn't their problem and there was an outstanding balance that needed to be paid". Our bank would not credit the money back to our account, therefore we are out on the check that was taken by their employee out of the "secure lock box", and out for the additional money that we had to pay to carfax for the check that was stolen. Carfax doesn't care about it's customers, nor the dealers that use them. Their customer service sucks!
I gave one star because it wouldn't let me post without rating. I would give them zero stars if I could!
Free Report, Misleading!
I thought that I would receive a FREE report as advertised.history. When I got to the site I found that the Carfax reports were not FREE. Even though, I felt that it would be wise to get a report on a car that I am interested in buying so I entered the VIN number and clicked on the single (1 report, $29) choice. I then entered all the other information requested in the form. I then submitted the request only to see that somehow I had purchased the $69 package. Not acceptable, and misleading, I hope I receive the refund I submitted.

Very Disappointed - Not Helpful For Any Veh Over 5 Yrs Old
I was so disappointed. I payed the fee, and trusted the report. Everything seemed just fine with the car. The odometer reading was wrong, and the report was crystal clean for a 1992 Toyota. The car, after I purchased it, was serviced, and would not pass inspection because it had been in a wreck, received a completely different motor, and was missing a mount. As soon as that was taken care of, and I took it home - the same day, the transmission fluid began to leak, and thousands more dollars into the vehicle.
PLEASE - CARFAX - please, make your disclaimers bigger. Make sure your customers know that you can only give them about 10% of the car's actual history, and that anything over 5 years old - should be dealt with a mechanic, and no trust whatsoever in Carfax. There really isn't a point to Carfax, because they will not help you in the end if you have a car that has been in an accident, but not reported through their system.

Too Expensive
As a small used car dealer I have used carfax through a monthly subscription. Just recently they sneakily raised their price by nearly double!! Since Autocheck offers the same service for less than what I was trying to pay before I called to cancel my carfax subscription and was told I can't cancel because my subscription automatically renewed in April. Now I am stuck with with this overpriced product. My advice is to stay away from this greedy company. They don't care about you just your money. Good luck trying to talk to a human too! Even if you manage to get through you'll wish you hadn't. They are arrogant and totally unhelpful.

You Cannot Contact Them By Phone Or Live Chat
About one month ago I put in a VIN and received information from the Carfax website that the VIN was legit. Today I purchased a report, put in the same VIN, and it states "wrong VIN number".
You cannot phone Carfax as a consumer. So I called as a dealer and was told that since I am a consumer, I must use the live chat feature of the website. So, 30 minutes later, I'm still waiting for a Live Chat agent.
I tried "Decodethis.com" and it showed the VIN to be legit.
Stay away from Carfax.
