Value For Money
The Montiss Vacuum
Bought this on a promotion for £25. I think this is value for money but i do not think the original price is.
Pros:
- CORD
long non tangle cord, reaches the whole room without having to switch sockets.
- HANDLE
good handLe, gets a nice grip
- SUCTION
powerful, picks up alsorts with ease, small and larger objects
- EMTYPING
easy to empty without any mess, the open button is easy to slide
- THE BASE
use it as a normal handheld or with the uv light base which is easy to attach and detach. uv base glides with ease. The uv light removes 99.9% bacteria on the surfaces you vac with it which is a great bonus.
- ATTACHMENTS
extra attachments stores neatly and compact in uv base. Thin nozzle is great for the narrow places such as sides of car seats or sofas. round brush helps loosen pet hair from stubborn materials.
Cons:
- HEAVY.
I can see it being heavy to hold for some people
- UV LIGHT
sensor could be better.it tends to flicker on and of on uneven surfaces such as mattress and carpets but does work a bit better once you get the hang of it.
Overall I am very pleased with this vac. I am very impressed with the long and light cord which makes it just as easy as a cordless one but with much more power. I craft and love how it suckes up everything from paper to glitter. it also seems to find dust that i cant even see! only down side is it can get heavy if using for a long time, but I would say go for this one if its at the right price. I admit the price i paid is a bargain as id be happy to pay slightly more for this.
Montiss Ultraviolet Vacuum
Bought this vacuum from Westfalia (an excellent company) in Dec 2010 - within six months it had literally blown up - smoke and sparks. They sent me a new one which I received Mar 2011. The ultraviolet lamp failed this month June 2012. Luckily it had a two year warranty, which re-started when they sent me the replacement. The company have been very good after trying to find out if they could get replacement light for it, but to no avail. Therefore, have had to return it for a refund. There was no hassle sending it back, they collected it. The idea was good and I liked it, but it is not robust enough. If they keep failing and you can't get parts then I do not wish to buy another, although I still like the idea for vacuuming bed etc.
