“terrible! !!!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Jonm426 on 27/10/2017

Disgusting place. Grubby. Smelly. With the worst and most rude managers I have ever had the displeasure in talking to. Harassed all day by a manager who insisted my child was above the 92 cm line . No problem,so I paid for him . To then have a private conversion invaded by the so called manger and being told id have to leave! ! My friend had just paid £ 75 for memberships too ! All the children in our party were so upset by all of this on what was supposed to be a fun day out . To make matters worse one of the Halloween staff made a quite frankly rude an insulting comment to my 12 year old neice about her eyebrows! Absolutely disgraceful. Which resulted in her being reduced to tears . Unbelievable. Will never ever be returning. And will advise anybody who asks to avoid this dump .

“Caught out by automatic anual membership renewal ”

They automatically renewed an annual membership and no matter how I tell them I don't want it - I can't get any sense out of them. Stay away from this place.

“Brilliant Day Out”

★★★★★

written by Arnies on 01/05/2014

We were a party of six two in our sixties with thirties parents and two small children. We could have not wished for a better day out. There was something for all of us Crealy Devon is certainly a park for children of all ages (even 63!) The staff were brilliant bright cheerful knowledgeable and very friendly and so helpful. The theme park had so many attractions, both inside and out and everywhere was well maintained and very clean. I cannot see how anyone could find fault. There were plenty of very clean toilets and food outlets. The food could have been highly expensive but it was not it was reasonable and there were plenty of choices. The animals were well looked after and seemed very happy. All in all a wonderful day out for all ages. GO AND ENJOY!

“Poor management”

★★★☆☆

written by on 06/10/2013

Having had many good days at Crealy, this wasn't one of them! We went on the Aqua Blasters, as we have done before, only this time someone had paid to use the water jet at the side of the pool. I can only describe it as a fire hose strength blast directly over us, causing my daughter to scream hysterically whilst we both got utterly drenched! The 'boats' can only move slowly so it was a few seconds before I could manoeuvre us to the dock to climb out. The young lad on duty was marvellous, sympathetic and offering to get someone to turn the big dryer by the tidal wave on, to get us dry. I could see he was busy so said I'd take it up with a manager. That proved completely pointless! The manager had clearly never had any customer service training and was completely disinterested. We were obliged to leave to go home shortly after as we were too wet (and cold) to continue our day there. Very disappointed!!

“A desperate place where everything costs extra. Abysmal.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 15/04/2013

Our family went to Crealy last week and almost instantly regretted it. Everything in there seemed to have an extra charge on top of the already over priced entrance fee which I find utterly deplorable. To pay over £60 to get in and then have things cost more on top!! the staff I had to deal with were very young, poorly trained and as miserable as sin. Food was expensive and bland and I left Crealy feeling very angry. I can honestly say I didn't like anything about this place. Even my two boys (7 & 3) left disappointed. I will never go again. the following day we went to Trago Mills in Exeter which was obviously free to enter. they had rides shops and food which were much much cheaper and the kids loved it! Take my advice and go there instead. You can even buy some cheap shopping whilst there.

“We Love Crealy World”

★★★★★

written by Reddels on 25/01/2013

I have two children who are 6 and 8 and we come down to devon every year just so we can spend a few days in Crealy. The soft play area with the drop slides is fantastic and the ponies that you can brush are my childrens favorites. The live shows in the tent are great, we did lots of big dancing to Bob the Builder last year and we are coming back again at Easter.I wish we had a theme park like this nearer to Portsmouth its great!! we paid to get in with Clubcard vouchers but even if we hadn't the admission is reasonable for what you get inside.

“Expensive and AWFUL food.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 21/10/2012

Me, my husband, sister, her boyfriend and my 15 month old son, were on holiday in Devon and thought it would be a good idea to visit crealy for the day. What a terrible mistake that was. The soft indoor play areas are very old and tired looking, they are in need of a make over. I already expected them to be in better condition after we had paid £60 for us all to get in. The animal section was good fun as you can feed some of them (for an extra cost) i have to say this was the only part of the day we enojyed. After finding out that you have to pay extra for alot of rides we were all very disapointed. We then went on to get dinner at Route 66. What a mistake this was, my husband had a beef burger and chips (meal) and i had a chicken burger meal which was nearly £14, but nowhere else in the park was open to eat. My sister had a chicken nugget meal, and her boyfriend had a cheese burger meal. He had one of my sisters nuggets, at the time i didnt think the chicken burger tasted great but i didnt think any more of it. (We visited the park on thursday October 18th) That night i had terrible stomach ache, but didnt think anymore of it. However on friday afternoon me, my sister and her boyfriend fell TERRIBLY ill. We could not stop being sick, and we were stuck on the toilet for 2 days, i am positive that it came from crealy as that was the only place that we had eaten chicken together. My husband and son were both fine as they did not eat the chicken. I am very dissapointed in crealy as after paying £100 for a day out and food i expected alot better then this. I will not be going back and i would advise anybody whos planing on going there to either take there own food or reconsider going there at all.

“I first went to crealy when I was about 4, and I loved...”

★★★★☆

written by heeidiii on 14/04/2011

I first went to crealy when I was about 4, and I loved it. Went back when I was about 13, had a nice day out. Went back last year when I was 16 and I was SO bored for the whole day.
Went with my sister (14 at the time) and my stepsister (5) and parents. It was fairly expensive to get in and took a while. Basically if you're planning on taking anyone over the age of 12, forget it! They're going to be bored and complaining all day.
There's quite a lot to do, but not for 12+ really. Except the log flume and the rides and a few other things, but it's not that fun.
The animal parts quite good, the fact that you can touch them and stuff, but yet again, takes about 10 minutes to walk around, have a look and then out again.

“My grandson and his friend got stuck in the simulator....”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 25/10/2010

My grandson and his friend got stuck in the simulator. The alarm was going but nobody came. I found the nearest employee who didn't have a clue until I shouted at her and she got somebody else who had the sense to call maintenance. The children (both aged nine) were terrified and crying. I then looked round the park at the age and number of employees working at the park.
I would leave others to decide whether the park is putting profits before safety and well being of their guests. If I hadn't been there what would have happenned?

written by on 01/09/2010

We went to Crealy for the day with our son, daughter in law and 3 grandchildren it cost an arm and a leg to enter (one child is only 3 years)we then discovered that there are quite a few things that you have to pay extra to go onto.
On deciding to get something to eat from one of the FAST FOOD places which was not very fast then discovered that the rolls were cold almost to the point of being frozen and charged a lot of money I was not impressed,we then went onto another part of the park to have a coffee later on and it was a case of find the cleanest dirty table, there was food on the floor no one was clearing away and one young lad serving behind the counter.
The only really good part was all the animals which you can get close to and make a fuss of.
As I work in the holiday trade and people ask where I can recommend them to go for the day I was not impressed at all and will think twice before I recommend this park.

“Crealy Aventure Park Devon. Around £50 gets a 6 day...”

★★☆☆☆

written by FamilyMan003 on 30/08/2010

Crealy Aventure Park Devon. Around £50 gets a 6 day pass for a family of 4. This is good value in that you can keep returning but poor value in that on busy days, many of those in front of you in the long queues for rides will on their 2nd or 3rd visits. It does have some good rides and activities. However far too many of them require extra payment. Food on site is expensive (bring your own) and the Park shop which you have to go through on your way in and out has lots of things you children will want at prices you certainly don't want to pay!! Pick & Mix is £1.09 per 100g = £10.90 per kg. March them through quickly - eyes front!
The squirty boats are quite fun. However during the 40 minute queue for our turn, we were standing behind 3 eight year old boys who were kicking and spitting at each other as they argued who was first in the queue. The mother of one of them made an ineffectual attempt to get them to behave. Fortunately they gave up after 15 minutes queuing. In the queue you are an easy target for those already in the squirty boats. As we neared our turn, one boy in a boat deliberately disregarded instructions to come in. He then squirted the attendant as he was dragged in. The attendant got his revenge by throwing some water at him. A wide range of people visit Creally, but at this moment, it felt like Chav City!!
Having been to Woodlands as well, we much prefer Woodlands.

★★☆☆☆

written by on 19/08/2010

At first I was relativly impressed, it is well kept and the toilets etc are very clean and tidy, however, I was rather dissappointed at the number of paying rides once you've paid the all in price and entered, it appeared as though about half the attractions cost additional, I took my 2 & 4 year olds who both had a great time, although the 2 year old had less available to her as she was 2 cm under the lower height size. If we had given in and paid for the additinal rides the £12 (online) entry fee (each) would have escallated to over £40 each.
Although they do have rangers patrolling, I had to tell off many chidren for playing in areas meant for younger children, but this is mostly due to out of control parents who seem to ditch their offspring to wreak havoc, Woodland Park near Kingsbridge has much more for your money.

I am 16 and went a few months ago with family. I didn't have as much fun as I thought, but thats because I have got a bit too old for it! I went a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
I would recommend taking your younger children there but it's not much fun for anyone older than 12 really...

Just tried out the new Vortex water coaster at Crealy and it was so much fun! There are 3 tubes to choose from, one is really twisty, one bumpy and one is a really fast drop and they have light effects. You get in a little dinghy and choose at the top which tube to go through. My daughter went on it at least 5 times and has not stopped talking about it since! We are going back again next weekend as there is so much to see and we didn't get to see it all. A great day for the family.

Crealy, Adventue - Devon what a fanatsic place! o.k its not huge & have the ultimate wow factor - but what it has is heart & sole! Having autistic children we have never being able to spend long anywhere, but here was a first - they felt happy safe & well looked out for. The staff were very obliging & your queries delt with straight away & not passed on... The original price seemed steep - but we didnt realise that that was for a 6 day return pass; what was a bit naughty was the extra's you had to pay out extra for like zorbing, go-carting water balloon fights. But the indoor area's were just as fantastic as the outside area's all offering value for money thanks for all your help in creating a great family day out.

Crealy is very well thought out. None of the rides are too scary or too boring. It has everything a good theme park needs, a log flume, a newly rethemed rollercoaster, waterslides (coming soon) a pirate ship and loads of play areas. I found the staff on the bumper boats a bit rude though and didn't look like they cared much. Apart from the staff very good!

Also the website isn't the easiest to use now :/

Brilliant place! My whole family loves Crealy. Perfect for little children and older ones. You get a wristband to go back free for a week as well.
Buy tickets online to save money - and whats great is they welcome picnics so you can have a good value day as well as loads of fun. Very memorable for all the right reasons.
