Buy a Land Rover for a real work horse. Ask this truck to do some work and it will cost you about £1,200.00p for a fly wheel and a clutch because you have abused it! (at 8000 miles).
The real reason is that reverse gear is far too high even in low range!

Clutch, do not try to tow a thing, My clutch was totally beyond repair after 4,400 miles. Ford wouldn't repair it on the warranty and said it was wear and tear, they totally let me down. I was left with a hefty repair bill of over '£2000 on a vehicle only 11 months old. Don't recommend a Ford Ranger, it is not up to the job. Ford customer relations is absolutely dreadful, beware!

Leather great
CD works OK
Dont like steel roll bar as standard, should be standard chrome like rest of car. Have to cut off to remove.
Should have front parking sensors as well as rear as standard.
Very small washer reservoir.

As you have used Land Rover as a comparison I wonder if you would not have been better choosing a 4x4 Ranger which has a braked towing capacity of 3000kg as opposed to the 1600kg of the 4x2 Ranger and low range 4x4 ratios.
