The battlefield tours are very good and so are the excellent guides. But that’s where it ends unfortunately. Very expensive for a single person, can only just about afford to do one tour a year! No loyalty rewards for those that have travelled a lot with leger. Also another annoying thing is when you go and try to ask a question to the battlefield guide you have to fight your way past the “battlefield guide groupies” who attach themselves to the guides like limpets for the duration of the tour!! It gets to the point where you just give up because you are too exhausted after trying to force bob and mary etc out the way! And sometimes the guides ignore you! You also get the know-it-alls on some of these tours. They are the ones that think they know more than the guides but they don’t!. Leger aren’t as good as they use to be. The level or service and standards have dropped but the prices have shot up! For a 5 day battlefield tour it can cost up to £1,000 for a single person!! When I first started going with them over 10 years ago it was about £400. Shoes how much it has gone up. Stop 24 where the change over happens is like a geriatric cattle market sometimes. Quite hilarious watching the oldies panic and rush to get on their coach cause they think it will leave without them!! The enjoyment of a Leger holiday has sadly disappeared unfortunately. It’s about money now.

Luitpold am see Hotel Germany 5-10th February 2024, very poor food in evenings, salty soup, indescribable third-rate chicken. Abrupt rude staff, Leger should review hotels unannounced, as they would certainly not serve this terrible food to reviewing staff. Dining arrangements were chaotic, with nothing being done by Leger drivers. This was not Luxury, and food-wise did not approach acceptable. Luxuria coach was part full of clinically obese and part morbidly obese with over half coughing and bringing up what was seemingly the contents of their throats every few minutes. This was a most unedifying experience and given the ages and conditions of these travellers-face masks SHOULD have been OBLIGATORY. We were subjected-for SIX DAYS-to the continuous -probably every two minutes-explosions from the throat, from a very large lady from Derbyshire-no tissues or handkerchief ever used. A very large brother and sister couple, sat at the front of the coach and this-seemingly-tribute act to Jabba the Hutt, drew the attention of all by the brother bringing up the contents of his throat EVERY 5 minutes, and wiping on his arm, for SIX days, no tissues or handkerchiefs used. This was a hygiene disaster, and Leger should INSIST on masks because of the enclosed conditions and make-up/age/ mobility of passengers. If you are remotely affected by respiratory problems, do NOT travel by coach. This trip sounded and felt like a one-way trip to DIGNITAS. Both Belgian airport hotels good, excellent food, drivers good, but should have taken control and sorted out Luitpold am see Hotel problems more effectively

Every bit of this third-rate ‘holiday’ conveyed corner cutting and penny pinching. Not to mention the most surly, rude and unhelpful crew it has ever been my misfortune to encounter. Even if there was room to list every miserable part of this ghastly experience, I really don't want to relive it. So here’s just a taster: • A coach driver who bullied, swore and shouted abuse at a single female passenger, threatening to throw her off the coach at night in the dark in a strange country! • A passenger (who paid extra for a front seat) had to stand her ground when she found that it had been given to the driver's mother! • The driver announcing (not apologising) that our coach was on its last journey as it was no longer fit for service - this did not come as a surprise to any of us, given that most of the promised Silver Service features weren't working. • The front door of the coach randomly opening whilst speeding along the motorway until the driver decided that the only way to stop it happening was to keep it locked. Apart from the obvious safety aspect, the strictly imposed 15 minute allowance for comfort breaks on a coach with only one working door and a large percentage of passengers with mobility issues was clearly unfeasible. • A crew that were either woefully ill-informed about any of our destinations or just couldn't be bothered to share the information with us, but who nonetheless deemed it necessary to humiliate any passengers who had got lost or were late returning to the coach. • A driver so arrogant and narcissistic that having heard that passengers had complained about the deplorable treatment of the young woman the day before, took to the microphone to ‘reprimand’ us all and assure us that complaining would have no effect as Leger wouldn’t take any action against “……their top drivers.” The contempt for passengers displayed by this crew was staggering. As for the very basic hotel: grubby, shabby, inadequate, understaffed, cold, depressing - take your pick. • I asked if the safe in my room could be reset and was told that none of the safes anywhere in the hotel, worked. This was untrue, as I later discovered that several people had a working safe. • I had to sleep on a folded blanket because the springs in the cheap, elderly mattress were digging into me. • The balcony door wouldn't close properly so my room was very cold – not to mention insecure. • The few staff that were there did their best with limited resources, but the food lacked imagination - soup (made from last night's leftovers), unidentified meat, etc., I had to leave much of what was on offer because I can’t eat red meat, couldn’t get any reliable information about ingredients in the pasta or main course, and there were no alternative choices. One night my 'dinner' actually consisted of a lukewarm plain omelette, which was far from freshly cooked, followed by a satsuma! It would be funny if it wasn't so awful. • There was no entertainment. No drinks were available outside of meal times (we had to go across the road to the local café to get a cup of tea or coffee). I could go on but I'm boring myself now. Best advice is: give Leger a miss as in my experience, they couldn't run a bath.

Drivers were great drivers but useless as couriers / source of info. Actually, great at info - LACK OFF! So many times, situations happened with no explanation or logic. Male driver needs reprogramming in handling difficult situations. Not to shout at customers or his co-driver who was his wife telling them to shut up when handling a difficult traveller situation! Unbelievable. Coach (it's last venture outside of UK so we were told!) was tired and outdated. Appalling seats with no comfort at all. Squabs were lacking in padding! Clock that didn't work but fine if you added 15 minutes and subtracted 2 hours! Intermittently working 'sound system' which was distorted as not properly adjusted / balanced. Only 1 video shown during the whole holiday. Hotel adequate but very tired and outdated, they did their best! Food was nothing to write home about, but sufficient. I could go on, but there's more to life! Leger will definitely not be my first choice in the future. Very disappointed. It was the customers / travellers that made it. We all made the best of a most joke-able situation. I will be posting negative reviews on social media and other platforms in due course, Not a 'happy bunny'.

DO NOT BOOK DO NOT BOOK. Formal complaint has been made. Waiting for response. Hotel was totally unacceptable. Situated on a dangerous, extremely noisy, fast road. Hotel was well below standard. No AC or fans. Coach was ok and drivers great but company just not professional. Leger failed to book the correct amount of tickets for tours leaving people having paid and unable to go. Then expected to just wander around aimlessly. Cancelled multiple trips and tours last minute. Charged €60 pp for another tour which was only €16 on the ticket. Totally unsuitable for older or immobile customers. The list is too long. Just do not use this company and book elsewhere.

Dredful driver/ tour manager. Rude from second we boarded coach. 2 ( large) male staff on coach, leaned over me at dinner while other members of trip where at same table insisting I "owed them money" even b4 trip went ahead. My purse was taken NOT ONCE was I asked if I was ok or did I need assistance but all that was said was "you are last person I expecred to be tricked". Then I was told I owed £1.40 for alcohol that was been sold on coach My reply was I have no cash....his reply "I have a card reader" durrrr Ive been deceived. Tours that we paid for were DREDFUL. In Dublin O'Connell was bearly mentioned,Parnell was a sad man who had an affair, the GPO on O'Conell st was where "3 missguided men locked themselves in " WHAT THE HECK Im not Irish but I find this HIGHLY INSULTING Dreadful staff a DISCRACE Awful staff, insulting information......constantly on the make. We missed out Howth on the trip because he told everyone " there is nothing there but a rubbish Starbucks"......NOT TRUE. AND SO IT WENT ON...... AGAIN RUDE & UNHELPFUL to mountains of Mourne & back 22 Oct 2023. I could add more . If more information needed please contact me. D.Flynn

Recently did this tour , Hotels were mostly of a reasonable standard but not the Hotel Alemannenhof Engel - Rickenbach which was very run down and well below the standard that was expected . Each Hotel was away from accessible areas if you wanted to go for an evening stroll to view the areas, and most shut the bars at 10pm . You expect some time travelling between destinations ,but the allotted times for sightseeing was not enough because of the distance between hotel and place of interest . Stopping off for a lunch and given 45 mins to purchase and eat it plus explore a little bit of the location was hard going especially for those of a certain age . Far too long on the coach for many in our party and the early starts did not help . We could not fault the crew as they did everything possible for us and as a group of strangers some of us became friends during the course of the 9 days .The location of the hotels and what the evenings can offer should be looked at also the menus were not that good . Overall improvements need to be made and the time spent sat on the coaches shortened we would have hated to have done this tour on any other bus other than luxuria .

Do not travel with Leger holidays, our holiday was a disaster, the supposed luxury coach which we paid extra for was not fit for purpose, we expected tv and reclining seats we got neither, the tv,s were not working on the previous holiday so why send the coach out again without fixing this major problem. The food in the hotels was disgusting, how they can call a tea plate of limp lettuce a salad is beyond belief, a small slice of Swiss roll a dessert, laughable, the drivers were next to useless, no customer skills at all. A letter of complaint sent to Leger customer service and also sent to the CEO of Leger, and their response was a letter full of excuses, they informed me that the tv,s were now working…big deal, that didn’t help us. This was supposed to be a luxury holiday as advertised, we certainly didn’t get what we paid for, our next step is to contact our solicitor if we don’t get satisfaction

We booked a coach holiday June 29th to Picturebook Italy. We booked Luxuria coach because of reclining chairs and TV.We paid extra for this.We had no TV screens did not work throughout the holiday. You could not recline to much because of the people behind you.Second day 16 hour journey to Lake Garda. We we’re so tired when we got there went straight to bed.Hotel dreadful.Damp in the bathrooms food disgusting.Cheese omelettes and runner beans one evening.Horrible.Apparently Leger downgraded the menu. All hotels virtually the same appalling.Last hotel husband bitten by bed bugs.I do have photos.Bus drivers gave us hardly any information.Useless.This is the first time I have ever complained we will not be going with Leger ever again.I have written to them but as yet no reply.

Fantastic holiday to Italy. So many wonderful places visited. Long tiring days but oh so worth it. Our drivers were absolutely great and made the trip even better with their cheerfulness and helpful advice and care during the whole trip.

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Travel Agents The issue that I have experienced was: I had booked in this Leger Holiday tour from 14 to 19 Aug and paid 919 GBP on 31 July 23 telephonically. At time of booking I was told by that confirmation by email would only be given after checking availability of single rooms. I called them up on 3rd Aug at 1130 hours and was told that availability of single rooms is yet to be received. On 3rd August evening I sent a mail to cancel my booking due medical emergency. Thereafter I called them up on 4th Aug to confirm the cancellation and was told that I need to pay 222 GBP as cancellation charges and thereafter I would get my booking amount of 919 GBP back. As I received no SMS or mail, I called up Leger again and I was then told that there is no refund applicable. Till date I have not received any email from Leger. This meant that I had been cheated by Leger Holidays. I would request for refund of my booking amount of 919 GBP and cancellation charges of 222 GBP I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case.

Feeder coaches need reviewing. No communication from drivers or welcome at Lymm on return. Coach was full of rubbish and no apology for delay and not many supplies on board. But silver service and drivers were very good

Very dissapointed in our recent trip to Spain with leger. Firstly the hotel advertised in their glossy brochure (The Kaktus hotel) was not the hotel we ended up with. We were told 10 days before our trip we would be staying in a down grade hotel with non of the facilities that was originally advertised. We were put in the volga hotel and found the pool was tiny and got no sun after 2pm, we looked out onto a large block of rundown flats, we were very dissapointed and feel it's false advertising on legers part to advertise like this, we would never have booked the volga hotel had we been told that's where we would be staying. All in all a very dissapointing holiday and would never book with leger holidays again, as they change the hotel to a down grade hotel at the last minute.

We booked luxurious coach and were informed 11 days before the holiday that we were being down graded to silver service coach as the luxurious coach that was ordered would not be arriving in time. We had been given no information regarding the bus on order and if we had known that when we booked the holiday over a year ago we would not have booked it. We have been refunded the difference of £100 each but no compensation for the change in the holiday. We were travelling with 2 other couples and we were all told different things about the reason for change. I asked about a refund and were told I would lose 90% of the holiday and if I wanted to move it to another date I would have to pay for the hotel anyway. A few days later I was told I could move it to another date for free. Too late by this point as only 7 days to departure and the other couples had agreed to go as too short notice to sort or pay for another holiday. T he drivers and guide were fantastic but not enough leg room and no individual entertainment available on the coach. Due to the lack of vital information regarding the bus not being available but still selling the holiday as luxurious I would seriously not advise anyone to book with leger.

Ledger Fairy Tale castle of Bavaria The Rhine Valley and The Black Forest . Departed 20th May 2023 We were so looking forward to the above coach holiday as we had never done a coach tour before and fancied something different. We paid for the holiday and had to wait for the itinerary a week before going away. When the itinerary arrived we could not believe the time of the pick up for our area it was 02.45 am, if we had know this we would never have booked the holiday. The travel was very long and tiring we did not arrive at our first stop off in Belgium until 6.30pm ish that evening. After that each day was the same early morning start a long day on the bus, hotel, meal, bed. By the 5th day we had enough of sitting on the coach so we took 2 days off from the excursions to stay in the area we were based at, which we thoroughly enjoyed just being able to explore the area we were at. I feel ledger has not taken into account the amount of hours its passengers have had to sit on the coach to get from one area to the other, i dont think they have looked at or researched the geographical area and distances between each hotel. I feel it would have been better if the holiday had been based at one or 2 hotels then took people out daily from that base. I don't feel they give a clear picture of the travel involved especially being on a bus for over 50hrs plus on this holiday of 8 nights / 9 day it was not much fun for the travelers. Someone who has been on the other trips before said it has been the first time he has been sat on the bus as long. The hotels were all nice but the evening meals did not have a great choice especially for the main meal. We feel very let down for the amount of money we paid for this holiday and do not think its is value for the price we paid and have decided we will never do this sort of coach travel again.

I started filling a form in online to go to a Christmas market in December, to Bruges, I noticed it didn’t say how long it took,so didn’t complete the form. A couple of days later a gentleman phoned from the company, and I booked with him forgetting all about the details I wanted to know before completing the form. The details were How do we travel from uk to Bruges? 2. How long does this take. 3. What time have we to be at our local pick up point? 4. Where do we meet the coach for travel to Bruge? These were the points I wanted to check before booking, but was surprised and confused when thegentleman phoned and forget to check the relevant details, before booking and paying the deposit. I sent a email after I realised. They got back to me and said we would be on the feeder coach for 7 hours before the main coach and then 3 hours to Bruge. This was not acceptable to me having back problems, l tried to get in touch with them via phone 3 times, I was told they would ring they didn’t, but eventually text.AND THEY SAID THEY ARE Unable to give me a REFUND …. 7 MONTHS BEFORE THE TRIP TO BRUGES. IM SURE THEY WILL FILL THE COACH. BEWARE …….CHECK HOW LONG YOU WILL BE ON THE COACH!!!!!!!!!

We wish we'd read other reviews regarding holidays with Leger Coach Tours because we would never have booked a holiday with them in the first place if we had. Booked a holiday from their glossy brochure featuring photos of hotel with details of how near it was to various places of interest. Then we discovered that Leger could not guarantee we would be staying at that hotel anyway. That was the main reason we booked the holiday - possible alternative hotel would be five miles away from main hub. We cancelled in plenty of time but it's apparently okay for Leger to keep our deposit (and we paid more than we needed to) and also kept our travel insurance payment because we were stupid enough to also do that through them. There is no care or concern on their part regarding customer relations. They couldn't care a less. If you have a genuine complaint against this company, do take it up with ABTA. We did. They need to know how Leger treat people. The only thing we can take from this miserable experience is that we didn't actually go ahead with the holiday because judging by the reviews we've read here and on Trip Advisor we've had a lucky escape.

I went to the voltage in June and thought it was great. Staff were wonderful. I'll definitely go again
