Booked a flight from Chiangmai to Singapore and it was a connecting flight. First flight: 2UC8CS 13:05 - 14:25 had a delay big time and resulted me unable to catch on my second connecting flight - 47TJTX. GoToGate's reply was they will help me get a refund and it's all just talk. They ignored me thereafter, replies to my emails were just as bad. All they claimed is the first flight's delay did not affect my second flight and hence no refund. This is total sham and clearly a planned sham by GotoGate. Look it up alot more people are getting shammed by this Airline daily.

“Don't book with them”

Worst service ever. NEVER EVER BOOK THROUGH THEM. I bought a flight with a value of over +800 euros on Monday. On Tuesday afternoon (the flight was scheduled for Wednesday), I received an email stating that the flight was not confirmed and I needed to make the payments again...I checked, and my booking was never confirmed. I checked the flight cost, and the cost was + 400 euros higher for the same flight. I first called customer service via chat, but they could not even understand the problem; they said I needed to wait for a reimbursement. I called the call center in Italian, and they were not even able to help...indeed they told me that they couldn't do anything and it was almost not their problem. Then I called English customer service. They were nicer; they explained to me that apparently, the airline company had an issue but not clear if this was because the price in the meantime was higher .... and that this can happen and they can notify you up to 24 hours later. In short not able to support me....even if not my fault. But their problem managing the booking. Now I'm without a flight, and the only way to leave is to pay 1/3 more than the price I already paid. By the way, they couldn't even support me via phone with another booking since they don't have the service.

“DO NOT BUY TICKETS.”

 DO NOT BUY TICKETS. THEY ARE NOT MEMBER OF ABTA and ATOL We live in UK and bought air tickets from GOTOGATE in May, everything was confirmed until the day before travel. They sent us a cancellation email on 08JUL just one day before travelling and now refusing to take responsibility. We contacted them several times but they are blaming airline and told us to contact Airline. We called the Airline many times and they asked us to contact the travel agent as we bought tickets from them. We contacted UK Citizens Advice consumer service reference number ZC17495967 but they referred us to European citizens advice bureau because GOTOGATE is governed by Swedish Law. We have contacted them and waiting for their reply. We were supposed to fly on 09JUL from BHX but GOTOGATE sent us an email on 08JUL that the airline has cancelled the booking. We called them and the airline multiple times to give us alternative flights but no one helped us. GOTOGATE were blaming the airline and the airline said we need to contact GOTOGATE. We had to buy another oneway three tickets right away from another airline which was very costly (paid £3060) and sadly, we also missed our EID day! At the time of return, we checked the airline's website for the return booking just to make sure if everything was okay but we came to know that there was no booking for KHI-IST-BHX on 06AUG. We again contacted GOTOGATE several times and they said Airline had cancelled our booking. We were in KHI at that time and we went to the Turkish airline office. They told us that GOTOGATE never paid them for this booking! They could not help us as this was purely the travel agent's mistake or negligence and no more seats were left! Again We had to pay a hell of amount to buy oneway three tickets from another airline KHI-DXB-BHX 07AUG We paid GOTOGATE for our tickets £3,147.57 BHX-IST-LHE AND KHI-IST-BHX Expense after booking cancellation £3,060.00 BHX-DXB-SKT £1,620.60 KHI-DXB-BHX We called the GOTOGATE call centre several times and all of them were unprofessional! They were not able to resolve the issue and kept blaming the airline only. We spent three hours in the Turkish airline office Karachi and they showed us everything, that they had done with our booking. Please do not buy ticket from gotogate as this company is not a member of ABTA and/or not associated with any other UK body. They have not refunded us anything at all!

“No refund after three months - had to pay twice for...”

Booked checked baggage with BA flight via Gotogate Arrived at checkin to be told that baggage had not been paid for Only option was to pay again Have all the evidence and have been requesting refund from Gotogate since. All I get is stalling responses, saying that my request is being dealt with. It's the same response every time - so I think they are just waiting for me to give up. Awful, Awful, Awful Customer service, combined with incompetent booking system AVOID

“Worst travel agent ever”

Awful Awful service. Booked a flight from Sydney to London through Gotogate, showed up at the airport only to find out my flight had been changed and moved 24h earlier! so was told I had missed it and had to take another flight. Gotogate approved the change with the airline WITHOUT my knowledge and then didn't tell me about it. On top of that they wouldn't help me get back to London, and when I complained they put me on hold for hours until I hang up, gave me an email address to register my complaint that said I had to fill out a customer form and never provided me with the customer form. Gotogate is useless, and won't lift a finger for you once they have your money

“Please avoid this company! ”

I'm not sure why this company is still operating. I had to fight so hard to get a refund from them for flights cancelled due to Covid. Their customer service is practically non-existent! Eventually, I facilitated the refund myself, directly with Ryanair, who paid the money to Gotogate. However, I still had to battle with Gotogate, who claimed they needed to "raise a refund request" with the airline, and that the cost of this would be deducted from my money - this, in spite of the fact that Ryanair had paid them weeks previously and my money was sitting in their account! Please avoid!

“Shocking waste of a company”

Absolutely shocking customer service. They are a nightmare to deal with. Advertised a seating plan upgrade to be added on to our tickets to allow us to select seats together. This is actually not the case. What this "service" provides is NOTHING. They say they will hopefully be able to have us sitting together when we check in but that it is not guaranteed (therefore we have paid more to maybe sit together). This is what normally happens for free with an airline. They are also declining a refund on the seating upgrade. Shameful company. NEVER use them.

Gotogate withholding refunds Gotogate will continue to use Covid related reasons for the delay in your refund. I myself have been waiting for a refund for over 6 weeks with the same excuses. So I decided to challenge Gotogates response that they are waiting also from the respective airline. I contacted the airline in question. They responded by saying that any refunds due to booking companies are made within 7 days of the error. However this now may take up to 10 days due to a heavy load of refunds. I mentioned Gotogates position . They responded by saying they have had numerous enquiries and complaints regarding Gotogate and refunds. They assured me they held no funds on booking registration or ticket number that any overcharge for luggage by Gotogate has already been refunded. So there you have it Gotogate adopt a policy of withholding funds until you tire or give up. My advice is to contact ABTA, TTA or The Global Travel Group you should contact them for advice. If not, try Consumer Direct.

I emailed them every 2 days, as well as emails to directors and senior management. I wrote reviews on Trust Pilot and Google. Until eventually they refunded me. You can Google gotogate and find the sister and parent companies and then find the senior management and executives Google them until you find the email addresses. Keep on at them , this tactic they employ should be illegal.

Terrible customer service, retrospectively added terms and conditions to charge 'administration fees' despite performing no administration or handling and insisting the customer has to arrange everything with the airline directly. Do not answer phones, responded to emails after about 9 months. Shocking company, steer clear.

I purchased their flexible ticket and I had to reschedule it today. After I called them they said that I have to pay a $600 difference, so I asked them how much is the price per ticket (I purchased 2) they told me $850 and when I went to THEIR website and put the exact same flight (destination, time, airline) it was $700. When I tried to talk to the guy he got very rude and defensive so I asked for the manager he told me that manager will call me back within 24-48h! complete joke

Worst service! They booked Indigo (Pune to Dubai) and Emirates (Dubai to Manchester) connecting flights for me. Indigo cancelled citing some airport issues and assured me full refund. First of all Gotogate agents were not available for help and whats worst, they are now charging me a cancellation fee! They just want your money. I then had to cancel the Emirates flight as I couldnt get to Dubai. These guys said they are transferring me to another department which turned out to be a wrong number! Stay away from these guys if you want peace of your mind.

Awful customer service. We had flights booked for USA in June 2020- which were cancelled due to the pandemic. Still no refund from Go To Gate, even though the operator has reimbursed them. Many, many emails have been sent from us with no results. When phoning, we are required to hold for a very long time (if there is an answer at all), then we are told the refund is being processed & that they are very busy. It has been over a year now ! Go to Gate have several thousand pounds of our money for flights which did not take off. AVOID this company.

“NO WAY OF REACHING CUSTOMER SERVICE WITHOUT SPENDING...”

Am having an awful experience trying to use the flexible option I spent hundreds of pounds on for the family. You have to use customer services by phone . Yesterday I spent over 90 mins on the phone to customer services and when I got through he said he would sort it out but didn’t after another half an hour - he then said a supervisor would phone - 24 hours later they still haven’t called me ( I fly in 6 days). I tried to phone today and after 1 hour 50 mins they just cut me off - now have waited 45 mins on hold still no answer. MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL I wish I had read all the awful reviews before booking as there is no way I would ever book with them again

Horrible company, if you want trouble and pain in your life then do book through this company, you will get enough of it. I waited 7 months for my refund for the flights cancelled by the airline and apart from an automated message that the refund is pending, no communication from their side. Frustrated I claimed on my credit card and now they have come back saying the charge back is invalid because the restrictions were imposed by government and hence the flights were cancelled and since I ticked a box on their site that I accept all their terms and conditions I cannot claim on credit card. This company is not ATOL protected so they are free from all regulations. Below is from their website ATOL protection Do my tickets include ATOL protection? Our agency is not subject to the ATOL protection regulation. Any travel protection (insurance) should be purchased separately either during or after the booking process.

Appalling service offered. 1.The customer service takes ages to get through , they keep on hold for a long time. Was put through 7 agents once, every one giving different information. 2.Flexi ticket is absolutely not flexible.Money is deducted from the refund even if the airline has canceled flights.-DO NOT BUT FLEXI TICKETS.  3.Taking cancellation fees from customers for a journey that the airline has canceled.  4.Refund is taking a long time and no active correspondence from the company to keep you updated. 5.IMPORTANT - GOTOGATE not taking responsibility for any actions. 6.New money making tactics by charging for SMS and mobile plans for a canceled flight -which they have refused refund again for no fault of the Customers.
