We decided at the very last moment to book the detoured street art walking tour of Ho Chi Minh City and we are so glad that the person I dealt with very kindly accommodated us despite the late notice.

We met the person I dealt with by the Opera House, after a spot of independent shopping in the gorgeous Metiseko organic cotton and silk shop (don't miss this for the gracious atmosphere and the fantastic designs) and then being in need of a good, strong coffee he introduced us to the wonderful chain of coffee shops with their Viet Cong themed decor - Cong Ca Phe.

Then we were off, walking past many historical spots, around the fascinating back streets with the brilliant street art and recharging with a deliciously authentic lunch (some of the best food we ate in Vietnam) opposite the hectic and crowded markets.

The person I dealt with listened to our requirements and showed us around the city in a way we wouldn't have experienced in another tour. We weren't taken to any shops and expected to buy anything, as other tours we took required.

This is an unmissable experience! Highly recommended.
