I started using Stugeron about five years ago when my daughter, who was in the Navy, recommended them. I can now travel by car, train and on a long haul flight without any sickness or nausea. Two tablets last for eight hours, then just one for another eight hours. Makes travelling much more comfortable so I can enjoy holidays. I thoroughly recommend them.

I gave my five year old son one tablet of Stugeron 15 and he had a terrible reaction, we were on holiday in Ecuador and had to go to the emergency room, when I told the doctor what I had given my son he was very shocked that this medication is recommended for children in England, In Ecuador and other countries they would never recommend such a strong medication for small children, there is also a lack of information regarding the ingredients. Doctors have told me to refrain from giving my son medication containing similar ingredients as he is is likely to react to them, however this is going to be very difficult to do as what this medicine contains is not readily available. Maybe suitable for adults but would not recommend for children at all. The makers of this medication should look at changing the recommended age allowed to take it. I was also shocked that my pharmacist was not aware of the possible reactions children can have with this medication.

Sturgeron (generic=cinnarizine) can be a great sea sick/motion sickness medication BUT you need to be careful about the dose. Sometimes when you buy it it comes in 75mg tabs and sometimes in 25mg. A 75mg tab will put you out like a light but if you start with 1/2 of a 25mg and increase to 25 mg if neccessary it is a wonder drug. I spent four years sailing 20,000 miles thorugh the Pacific and it worked for me every time. The brilliant thing about it is that you can take it even after you begin to feel seasick and it will have you feeling better in no time. According to what I have read it should not be given to children or pregnant women or Parkinson's patients.

Excellent medicin for vertigo, great price in my country 3.50 $ I recommend .

Recommended to me for vertigo. They didn't really work for that although in fairness it's not what they are for. The problem was they completely knocked me off my feet- I took one and within half an hour was sparko on the sofa for 5 hours! Most unlike me. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried another day but my body reacted in the same way. So I couldn't recommend them at all I'm afraid!

My husband and I can't speak highly enough of Stugeron as a sea sickness preventative. I am OK on deck of our yacht but cannot go below - with Stugeron I can cook, read etc. We both take 1/2 a tablet every 12 hours and honestly have never been sea sick. Just came back from a 'cruise' in 40-50 knot wind, 6m swell. Half the passengers didn't emerge from their cabins for 4 days - we never missed a meal! Fantastic stuff - makes you feel a bit 'spacey' but no other side effects ie dry mouth etc. I just wish you could buy it in Australia!!

Worked very well for me. Motion sickness has always been a big problem for me on long distance travelling by car or bus. Then I came to know about these stugeron tables and I just had 32 hours long journey on car from Skardu to Lahore in Pakistan and with these stugeron tablets I didn't feel nausea and I didn't get sick. Now I can eat, read and can have a good sleep in the car. Only side effect I felt is drowsiness and sleep when i took 2 pills at the same time.

My son, who is in Merchant Marine told me about it, says it sets concrete but need to know how to take it as if you take two it will virtually knock you out. Being the type of person who got sea sick on a pedalo (honest) and even walking across a gangplank can start me off, I now go on cruises and learnt to sail. Half a tablet the night before, half a tablet in the morning and a couple of halves through the day but never the full two tablets. Oh yes, looking at the horizon also helps, son never explained to me why, but it did. Stugeron opened up a whole new world for me, cant tell enough people about it.

in a country as forward looking in the medical world as australia,it seems odd that people are left to suffer from travel sickness and other varied things that affect the ears.come on prime minister and look towards licencing stugeron (and maybe prochlorperazine.)this would save a lot of misery for sufferers who get no relief from their symptoms;especially the elderly who are more prone to these miserable symptoms.they are good value for money with the good relief people from travel sickness.i would liked to have known that these tablets suited me as kwells did not,but took advice from my doctor

CINARAZINE trade name Stugeron suit me fine. one tablet per day. dont make me fall asleep sailing. As a diabetic allow me to eat without feeling sick; other shorter/faster acting types do. Just accept one tablet wont suit everyone. Buy Cinazarine where poss as is cheaper than 'branded goods'

These Stugeron tablets were awful. i had them for about 4 years before i found out about traveleeze (which i have had to stop using as i can't buy them anywhere)
i was sick with them when i flew to tenerife it was awful i was sick every ten minutes or so the stewardess managed to help me by giving me some ginger ale(that worked brilliantly!)
i also went in a boat which had an underground part where you could see the dolphins, so i took my tablets before and was sick all the way, it ruined my experience, i was very upset. these tablets didn't work for me.

I've suffered chronic travel sickness in cars & buses since I was a child. It was so bad that I had to leave two schools I'd won scholarships to and go to inferior local schools as they didnt involve travelling.
Driving myself is rarely a problem, though occasionally on long trips I feel naeseus after them. This travel problem has handicapped my job choice & prospects. As I had to take jobs that involved little travelling, which were not always the best paid or rewarding. My social life also suffered very badly.
Over the years I tried many remedies, with little sucess. The side effects of some were quite serious, (I began coughing up blood after taking one well known brand on a trip). Others either didnt work or only gave limited relief. And some had side effects that were as bad as the travelsickness.
Stugeron, have changed my travel problems dramatically. I can now undertake local (free) bus and tram travel without giving it a second thought.
A relative who was feeling travel sick took the tablets whilst we were travelling in a mini bus to a wedding in the middle of nowhere and in no time at all she felt better. By the time we returned home she'd forgotten all about her travel sickness.
For me; Stugeron work, they have no side effects and do not clash with any of the medications I have to take. I recomend them highly.

The best things about these tablets are they are not a sedative and they have been the most useful remedy for motion sickness for the whole family.

I thought they were briliant for this, the flight was 11 hours and I took them on boarding, within a couple of hours i was asleep and didn't wake up until morning. It made the flight so easy i would definitely take them and recommend them for this.

I think you have to weigh up the good with the bad - Would I have rather been alert but throwing up? I know not everyone experiences side affects, but I can not recommend these to anyone. Thankfully our Chemist recommended Kwells tablets to my husband so I brought both brands. My trip home was still a rough crossing, but I was able to enjoy the experience.

May cause some drowsiness but nothing severe enough to disable me. Swapped to another brand only last week & these new ones actually made me & my daughter sick & incapable of functioning properly. All medications affect people differently & it is therefore necessary to find out what suites you. I for one travelled 8 hours wishing I had bought Stugeron & not the other brand.

As a teenager I sailed a 4m skiff on Syd Harb without even thinking of seasickness, in all weathers. But now, as a 70yr old it is not so easy. Sad. Need to win Lotto and have Malcolm Tennant design me a 20m motor sailer. Ah well !!

Used Stugeron 15mg tablets before a 17 hour crossing from France to Ireland and back.
Dosage taken: took two tablets several hours before the cruise as we had a four hour drive to the port, and then a further two tablets as the boat cast off, and another one about 8 hours later. On the return trip I only took two tablets a couple of hours before cast off, and was fine, probably due to the good weather, so decided that we did not need any more.
Experienced no side-effects or drowsiness. Did not experience any sea-sickness, however the weather itself was calm and the crossing pretty smooth so may have not experienced any sea-sickness even without any medication... difficult to say.

Have suffered from travel sickness on cars and coaches since I was a child and have tried many remedies. I had a holiday planned that would involve a 2 hour coach journey with very twisting roads, my worst nightmare. I took Stugeron and had absolutely no symptoms of travel sickness. I was totally amazed. I have used it on and off for the last few years and it works every time.

My child was fine, you mention that he is likely to react to the ingrediants .. so your son has allergies, this is an unfair comment based on a chid with clear allergic reactions
