“I would not use this company again”

I had no problems with CoverForYou until I tried to make a claim on my policy, my experience has been awful. I am unfortunately having to deal with Righpath who manage any claims against the policy on behalf of CoverForYou. They lack basic medical knowledge and their management of claims is substandard, resulting in a valid claim (backed by medical evidence) being refused. I am now going through the stages of their complaints process and anticipate I shall have to take my case to the ombudsman… Read Full Review

“You get what you pay for - not much”

You get what you pay for - which in our case was dumb obstruction in the face of a simple claim for travel delay. Cover for You refused our claim basically by arguing that the very clear wording of their policy wasn't what they meant to say. A trip to the Ombudsman was needed to make them pay up. “Worst travel insurance ever”

I took out a policy for a recent ski trip. I contacted cover for you via email to let them know I had an accident where I broke a crown, they did not respond. When I returned home I contacted coverforyou straight away to let them know of the incident and the fact that I didnt have time left to get this issue corrected abroad. “Not really worth the paper it is written on”

Unless you have the highest level of cover, then your travel insurance will more or less be worthless. all of my travel documents were stolen in South America. I was given £100 to cover the cost of replacement passport and visa which cost me £250. My rucksack was ruined by the airline - this company gave me zero to replace it. “Very rude customer service ...”

I took out annual travel insurance for me,husband and daughter. We booked holiday to thailand way in advance travelling on 30 Sep 2016. After sometime i found out i am pregnant. “Don't trust them”

I had taken out a European policy last year and declared my medical conditions. I was invited, by email, to renew this year based on the same medical conditions and a premium was quoted. I re-submitted my medical conditions as requested but the quoted premium then increased my £30. We had to cancel our trip to Ireland because all roads to the ferry port were cut off by flooding or fallen trees. We has purchased cancellation cover with our policy and were told when we called to claim that we would not be covered because we were a) not on public transport and b) it was a natural disaster c) It wasn't caused by an accident. I've also found it nearly impossible to find a way to review them on feefo as I was supposed to receive an email allowing me to review them as customer but it never arrived. To all intents and purposes I think they have rigged their feefo reviews to make it appear like they are a 5 star service

I would recommend this insurance company 100% as we had to return unfortunately from our holidays for a bereavement suddenly. I am 53 years old and been on holidays all my life and never had to put a claim in but unfortunately Ive had to this time. Where do I start, easy to get the insurance on line but wow, what a disappointment when it came to claiming. Diamond cover appeared to cover all eventualities but in truth, very little is covered. “Worth having - if you don't claim!”

Took over 3 weeks to even look at my claim. The company looks good on paper by when baggage was delayed over 3 days they didn't want to pay out for delayed baggage - I had to buy stuff on top of this and claim under that- offering less protection than the airline does. Second to that loads of items were stolen and they didn't cover it because it was in my hold luggage. Do not bother using they are a total waste of time- no sincerity and typical scamming insurance. I used cover for you for my holiday insurance and had a 17 hour delay due to the Virgin pilot falling ill, Virgin gave me £400 compensation and also 12500 air miles after a lot of letter writing. Do not buy travel insurance from this company! If you ever have to make a claim they will make it totally impossible for you to even submit the paperwork, will force you to go round and round in circles trying to chase progress and in the end you will cut your losses and give up.
