I booked 6 nights accommodation with them and paid immediately. They then said they could not give accommodation voucher and would issue a refund. This cost me £26 in bank charges!! I then booked same room with booking. com so the room was available.

Don’t buy your flight tickets from Traveloka. No refund and no rescheduling. Their customer service has bad English writing skills and gaslighted me! It’s better to buy directly from the airline. Extremely ill trained customer service!

“BE WARNED ”

BE WARNED! Traveloka are tricking 10% of their customer base - enough to stay in business and maximize profit. I booked a flight to Indonesia from Thailand. I was notified that the flight route was cancelled and I could not receive a refund, but had the option to reschedule the flight once the flight route was available again. I was also informed that my flight credit needed to be used within 24 months. I have contacted their customer service nearly every week, and it has now been a year and a half. Every single one of my efforts to use the flight credit has been rejected as they have stated I must book a flight with the same flight route, which is not currently available. They will not let me book any alternative routes or any other flights. Seems they are stalling until my 24 months are gone. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

“Incompetent, can’t book months in advance or use coupons”

Tried to book two tickets, the return portion 9 months away, and only Traveloka, not the other travel websites, required a valid passport that expires 6 months after that travel 9 months from now. You can’t renew most passports more than 6 months before they expire, so if you are booking tickets months in advance, you’re wasting your time with this company. I went back and forth trying to get them to see the light, and they couldn’t see how this policy isn’t practical or logical for travelers booking months in advance. And since I had coupons with this company worth hundreds of dollars, I tried to book a single ticket. OMG, only two of the four coupons worked, and when they resolved it, two different coupons worked, and when they resolved it again, only two of the coupons worked. I keep loosing airline fares, I have spent dozens of hours, and Traveloka is getting rude with me, unbelievable. If it wasn’t for the 10,000 Thai baht worth of coupons I would have given up long ago. I’ve used dozens of travel websites, for many travel arrangements, and this is by far the worse. And of top of everything else, there prices are higher than their competition.

“Room is not as advertised”

I booked a 3 bedrooms garden view villa in the Ocean Villas resort in Da Nang, Vietnam for my family during my lunar new year holiday thru Traveloka. They mentioned Ocean Villa and I stayed there before so I know the place is adjacent to the ocean. But the driver sent us to the Point Villas which is a km away and you have to cross a public road in order to approach the Ocean Villas and the beach. The Traveloka was responsive but repeatedly excused for ridiculous reasons: the villa is garden view (every resort has garden view room), I already accepted (because I had no place to stay waiting for my complain to be solved), the Point is part of the Ocean (which is not true)... After checking I found out that the property owner - a company called Cozy Villas - intentionally hide the details in order to sell their lower rank villa as a higher one. That is why they never mention the concrete address in all materials and Traveloka tried to protect the owner instead of the customer. I mailed Traveloka trying to put a review on Traveloka’s website but could not find a way. Don’t know if they block me to review? I am really disappointed with the Traveloka and the property owner. My mother is 82 could not get over the road to see the beach although I chose the villa is especially for her. I just want to tell my case for others to learn from my experience. Stay away from Traveloka and that kind of property owner.

“I got my money stolen”

I wanted to book a train ticket, once I paid for it with my credit card I received a text which stated that the transaction was unsuccessful and I should try another payment method. Notwithstanding the "unsuccessful" transaction thay withdraw the money form my bank account.

“I have just booked my flight and hotel through this...”

I have just booked my flight and hotel through this service provider. Once I’m done with the hotel booking, I realized that I’ve booked the wrong dates which is impossible because I was really careful when choosing the dates. I went ahead to seek help from the live chat if there is any way that I can get a refund or reschedule. The person servicing me was rude af, even told me that the hotel does not have an email address that I can write in to request for the refund? Seriously, which hotel doesn’t have an email but can be booked through online? I found the email myself online and told the person, he/she replied “but we do not have :)”. The live chat was pointless in my opinion as it only angers the consumers because the attitude was rude and there is no intention of helping at all. Now when I come to think of it, my bookings were all date filtered with availability. The dates will jump when you book it because that are too many people experiencing the same as me.

“Very bad service even in emergency situations”

I will never use Traveloka ever again to do hotel bookings. I requested for a cancellation 2 hrs before the hotel cutoff time for free cancellation. I first called the hotel direct but they advised me that I can cancel but need to go through traveloka as it was booked via this company. So I put my request to Traveloka immediately. They told me they will come back with a response in 60mins but after more than 6 hrs I still did not get anything. So called back but I was surprised to hear that it is still in the same state and they said they will get back to me after another 60mins...so after 2 hours, I still don't get anything and they have no way to escalate to anyone higher...the same explanation everytime I called. Now after 9 hours I still have no response. I don't know if the hotel cancellation was done and if I can now book another hotel closer to the airport as I need to take a connecting flight...I am traveling tomorrow with no clue what to do. I will never use Traveloka again. This is my first and last time.

“Irresponsible company”

Totally inaccurate description on hotels booked. Imagine a scenario where you book with a branded hotel you are familiar with and when you show up in this new location the hotel is something totally different. E.g. You book Hilton on their app and when you showed up it's a dodgy dirty run down Hillman or some weird names. This was the problem I had to endure and spent over 3 hours arguing with both the hotel and traveloka management before deciding to just stuff them and go find another better hotel. I rather lose my money and not get back my deposit. Traveloka insisted they were correct and accurate in their description even though we showed photo evidence.

I have booked a connecting flight from Singapore via Jakarta to my destination in Sumatra by Garuda, and Traveloka is specialized in Garuda flights. Garuda is notorious in changing their flight schedule or cancel flights very last minute, so they did to my flight 3 days before my departure. I contacted Traveloka to clarify the situation, but their helpdesk kept saying somebody responsible will call me back. They only emailed with me insufficient explanation, and I needed to call them back a few times until an Admin person in Indonesia finally called me. But she was not able to address my problem at all and kept saying somebody from Ticketing team will call me back, but nobody called me. I kept calling helpdesk who are in Malaysia, and they at the end got a ticketing officer to call me. Basically Traveloka doesn't have much information of what Garuda is doing or has done. It was so very much frustrating and a lot of time wasted just to find out the real flight situation, and they are still not in the position to solve my situation. If I had booked the flight directly at Garuda website instead, their customer service team definitely would have had better support because I can directly negotiate with the airline. In my opinion, since I had fully paid for the flight and got E-ticket, Traveloka should take care of such cases more responsibly by providing a value-add information to the customers. But their support system is just not up to that. I will never ever purchase flight tickets from them to avoid problems like this in the future. Please watch out.

“Website not usable”

I've tried for over 2 weeks to purchase a ticket between 2 destinations in Thailand. I input all the information but when i click to book the ticket I get an error message of a disruption in service. This is every time I try to book the ticket I get the error message. I've traded emails with Traveloka and their advice is to trying booking on a different airlines. During the time of my trip there is only ONE airlines flying to my destination. How can I choose a different airlines? Travaloka seems to refuse to admit there is a problem. They keep responding to "choose the airline that best suits my preference". Again, there is only 1 choice, 1 airline to fly to my destination. How do i choose a different airlines?

I'm amazed with the negative reviews, or am I lucky to encounter great agents? Did not had trouble with the online booking at all. I got confused with the payment twice haha. (Bec of the codes etc) First booking was last March this year and today. Really appreciate agents efforts. But what I like the most is that I'm having trouble because of my own mistakes and I felt their sincerity to help. Great job guys! Kudos!

“Worst Customer Service and Misleading Terms & Conditions”

I booked a round trip ticket for my family to Boracay for 12,205Php to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a Philippine Airlines Ticket which says "Refundable". A day before our trip, we had to cancel the flights because my son had a medical condition which would hinder him to travel. Trusting that we had a 'Refundable"ticket, I went ahead and processed the cancellation and refund application. Though I found it very odd that there were no fare rules shown on traveloka's website, I still went ahead and clicked next and I was expecting to see the summary of how much I was going to be refunded of before I went ahead and finalize everything. And lo and behold, I was a bit disappointed when it went ahead and say that the refund has been requested without the summary of the refund amount I was waiting for on the next page. So I waited for a couple of days and the only email I received was that the refund was a refund info email stating that my refund is being processed and to wait 30 days for it to reflect and it still didn't have the summary of the refund amount I was looking for. Now I started getting worried and talked to an agent who was confused than ever and told me that it would take 30-90 days for it to be processed (no refund amount summary still at this point) I had to do a screenshot for her to tell her that after April 4, 2017 there was an advisory that it is now 30 days and not 90 days. Anyway, i asked her to send me the summary of the refund amount. I finally received a confusing email which said that my total refund amount is 250php! Imagine how furious I got so I requested for a breakdown of the refund amount per pax. Please see below traveloka's response: (Traveloka) Jun 9, 15:26 +07 Dear Ms. XXXXX, Greetings from Traveloka! This is in reference to your query regarding the amount refundable to your account. Please be advised of the breakdown as follows: Total Fare: PHP 12,205.00 Fees/Penalties from Airline : PHP 1,500.00 per way and per passenger Refund Service Fee : PHP 215.00 per passenger Total Refunable Amount : PHP 2,560.00 For further assistance or inquiries kindly contact us: 24/7 Customer service phone: 24/7 Customer service email: Thank you for booking with Traveloka! So in short, after paying 12,205php for the flights we never took. I'm now left with a refund total amount of 2,560Php! How convenient! No breakdown was shown before the refund was processed so the customer could decide if he/she want to still go through with the process. No fare rules shown (or not everything) during booking and cancellation of flights. I had to talk to multiple agents who lack patience and understanding to the situation and without empathy! Worst customer service ever! I will never recommend TRAVELOKA to my friends and I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS APP AGAIN! If I could rate them zero star, I really would! That's how upset Iam!

1. Made a reservation SIN/VTE via BKK 3RD 23/4/2017 on TG and return leg VTE/SIN on VN via HAN on 25/4/2017 with "Refundable" status on both legs. 2. My meeting schedule was changed so I cancelled the trip and requested for the refund. Request was confirmed approved via email on 22/4/2017. 3. 3 Emails received from Traveloka on 23/4/2017 saying no refund was payable as cancellation is higher than the refund. 4. I refuted the emails and demanded my rights to be addressed or subject themselves to a criminal complaint filed against them for misleading and deceiving users of their services. 5. I suggest all complainants get together and take them to task and uphold consumer rights.

“Extremely unsatisfied with the Customer Service ”

Purchased my flight wrongly and unable to get refund (I had spoken with a few CS - some of them said I could get refund some of them said its not applicable) and it had me waste so much time trying to call them for refund/rescheduling my flight. They could not liase with the airline to give me a cheaper fee. The fee for reschedule is actually higher than buying the whole new ticket! I have been a loyal customer for 3 years but now it has gone terrible, and I will never use Traveloka again. Thanks for the bad memory.
