Thomas Cook Review

This was our first holiday abroad for our family we paid 2300 for 14 nights all inclusive at paradise island playa blanca lanzarote.
When we arrived it took us over 1 hour to check in the food they had saved for us was disgusting and cold. The room looked amazing but the beds and pillows were as hard as stone. The light switches and plug sockets kept falling of the walls. We had cockroaches in our rooms every night. We could not leave balcony doors open due to around 40 cats on the resort coming into your apartment every day.
Only certain drinks were all inclusive u had to pay for water ice creams and other snacks as these were only provided free at certain times of the day.
The pools were freezing the sun lounges were horrible and u only had around 8 that sat up so u couldn't watch ur children if you laid on the loungers. It took me 3 days to get a ash tray I had to use plastic cups with water in.
My youngest daughter was half an inch to small for the bigger slides wich meant I couldn't watch both my kids together as the slides are at opposite ends of the water parks so I was always worrying instead of realaxing.
They had only 1 bar out of 3 open during the day.
There was a lot of work and construction going off also.
As Thomas cook don't do the entertainment it was particularly rubbish we did the same things day in day out same cd for 2 weeks wich they switched on and off so many times a day. I had to pay for my children to join in with the activities at kids club wich I shouldn't seen as I paid all inclusive. There was nothing for the children at night apart from a 20 minute mini disco. We watched the same acts for 2 weeks. The food was horrible the meat still had bones in. The onsite shop was very expensive so was the laundrette. U can only eat and drink all inclusive at certain times of the day I feel this should be 24 hours a day as that is what u pay for. All in all for what's paid the holiday was rubbish and I will never go with Thomas cook again. Take my advise if u want a nice holiday and get what u pay for stay away from paradise island
