Booked a 5* holiday in Carribean with them. office staff all very helpful. Sadly the description of the hotel was totally inaccurate, it had changed overnight from a 3* hotel to a 5*..... DECEIPT. It was still a 3* hotel. Advised it was a brand new hotel when it was a 25 year old hotel. When complained as many other had done no responses. Taking them to court ffor a full refund

“Use The Holiday Place at your own risk -- absolute...”

Used this company for the first and definitely last time, the only thing that resembled their promise were the Virgin flights. Upgraded the first of 2 hotels as per their recommendation, dirty, damp, broken and partly working toilet in room (had to change rooms, was so bad) with the seat split right across (how`s that for hygiene?), a long hot trek from where the shuttle bus leaves you, wrong information about where to meet for tours, staff that lie about quality of upgrades and more, lots more. 2nd hotel was unfortunately affected by `Irma` but thats no excuse for on site multiple restaurants that stayed shut (even before and after the Hurricane) food poisoning (suspected) by myself, partner and the folks in the next room too. This firm considers itself holier than thou. Following extended and difficult communication they sent me £100.00 thinking that`ll do, well The Holiday Place, it definitely wont do, I`ve only just begun, look out for a substantial report and more that the public need to understand and be protected from.

“Taking the stress out of Irma”

Thank you to the person I dealt with at the holiday Club My daughter and I were due to travel to Cuba tomorrow and unfortunately due the hurricane we had to find a plan B as a package trip fhere was three options I opted to transfer my money to another destination The person I dealt with discussed what was available , he was patient considerate and after a few calls we held the flights awaited the green light from the accommodation It did cost additional money per person but that was no ones fault and others have had their lives devastated by Irma so I can not complain So this Thursday we are off to the Maldives it was on my to do list for another stage in my life but it's been brought forward and we are both excited to be going on an Adventure Thanks again for helping us I would highly recommend this travel company My replacement documents were email within 3 hours and I booked seats on my flight last night they are professionals at what they do

“Very poor communication and service”

we used this company to book accommodation in Cuba. Quite simple request, few sightseeing tours, accommodation in two cities. The stress of dealing with this company was incredible. They were happy to take our booking, but trying to contact them regarding the booking was almost impossible. When we arrived in Cuba with our two young girls we couldn't find the Casa. When we managed to get in touch with their local rep he was equally frustrated with them. He kept asking for our flight details so that they could organise a pickup at the airport, seems The Holiday Place didn't pass this onto us. My advise, look else where or expect stress

Really impressed with the service we received. The advice and suggestions for our itinerary and accommodation for our holiday to Cuba was first class and did not disappoint. It was easy to book and we were sent all documentation promptly. The transfers between the airport, hotels and resorts were on time and the accommodation was good value for money. Would definitely recommend and use again.

“Incredible India ”

We went to India inApril/May with The Holiday Place (first time of using them). We had an outstanding time. Service in the UK was excellent and in India better than excellent. Private,car, beautiful hotels, all transfers and meals etc as described. It was wonderful. So,good that we came home and we are off on a Far East tour with them at the weekend. The staff in their London office have responded very quickly to any changes we wanted to make or clarifications to,the itinerary. First class service. Our Indian trip was superb value when we booked it and so of course we worried (as you do) that it might not live up to expectations. It actually blew our expectations out of the water. So here we go again, if the Indochina trip is half as good I will be delighted. Highly recommend this company.

“Bait & Switch”

Attractive package holiday @ reduced price advertised on-line & real time, but was fully booked and not available. Customer induced to buy significantly less attractive package holiday, that would otherwise not have been bought. Unable to get refund!

This is clearly what they do. Victim myself recently. Lesson= Do not book another holiday until i have checked out the agent. Holiday Place are dishonest in my opinion, and once they have your money, there is ZERO chance of getting any of it back. Complaining is a waste of time, they are programmed to block any claim regardless of the circumstances. Fail to really justify anything (because they cannot)

“Promoted Hotel in an email "urgent" deal not available!”

Advertised a great deal in Antigua via an email, and then much later the same day said it was not available, and offered substandard alternatives or "better" places for more money. Quickly became apparent that the Hotel had not been available for several weeks as it is being refurbished. This did not stop HOLIDAY PLACE promoting it as a "hook" to get leads, and despite saying "thanks for pointing it out" continued to promote the accommodation for at least the next day as well. They have now refused to provide more than £50 towards the more expensive accommodation they offered as an alternative. Draw your own conclusions. HOLIDAY PLACE are unreliable, untrustworthy, and unreasonable. AVOID!

HAVING SEARCHED LONG AND HARD, WE FINALLY FOUND THE PERFECT HOLIDAY IN CUBA. WE COMPLETED THE ONLINE BOOKING FORM AND PAID OUR MONEY TO THE HOLIDAY PLACE AND RECEIVED CONFIRMATION. WE STARTED THE BALL ROLLING WITH TRAVEL AND VISA ARRANGEMENTS. a REP RANG ME BACK SEVERAL HOURS LATER FIRSTLY TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT THE TRANSFERS WHICH WERE SHOWN AS INCLUDED WERE NOT BECAUSE WE MISSED SOME HIDDEN BUTTON AND ANYWAY WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID FOR, DESPITE SHOWING AS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. THE NEXT BOMBSHELL WAS THAT THE FLIGHTS WERE FULL AND SHE ASKED ME WHAT DID I WANT TO DO ABOUT IT. THERE WAS NO APOLOGY, NO EMPATHY, NO CUSTOMER CARE AND NO ATTEMPT TO SEEK TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE FLIGHT OR AIRPORT. I SAID I WOULD HAVE TO CANCEL AND ASK FOR A REFUND.SHE COULD NOT HANG UP QUICKLY ENOUGH. NO COMMISSION, NO CONVERSATION. UNBELIEVABLY, I HAVE JUST LOOKED SEVERAL HOURS LATER AND IT TI SSTILL POSSIBLE TO GO THROUGH THE BOOKING AND PAYMENT STAGE AGAIN DESPOTE THERE BEING NO AVAILABILITY. BOOK ELSEWHERE!

“UNPROFESSIONAL TIME WASTERS”

I tried to book a holiday on their website for a holiday, they accept the booking send you a confirmation, and then you hear nothing from them. After repeated telephone calls and emails they advised me they are not sure the hotel is available, they then leave you waiting again only to tell you the hotel is fully booked. I wasted nearly a week thinking the holiday was booked only to find it wasn't, I had then lost availability to the best deals with other companies as I was booking quite late. I spoke with the Manager who was most dismissive and unconcerned about his strange company protocol for confirming holidays which are not booked. They also changed the airline from Emirates to Malaysian airlines, so you are not getting the holiday which they are advertising online. I advise you to avoid this company.

Thank you holiday place for a wonderful twin centre holiday to avani spa resort Sri Lanka then asiana hotel Dubai . The hotels were wonderfully , no hitches in any of the flights or transfers. ... One of the best organised holidays .. From the booking , flights , hotels ... We have made some amazing memories. .... Highly recommend this company ... Fantastic ... Loved the location of hotel in Sri Lanka .. Hearing and seeing the Indian Ocean Amazing with fantastic trips to explore this beautiful island . Dubai ... What a different culture. ... 2 extremes .. Again excellent hotel and although caters mainly for the Asian market we were welcomed ... Rooms amazing with roof tree terrace pool ... Immaculate ... Just a note the transfer time from airport to avani hotel in Sri Lanka does take 2 plus hrs , great driver however ... Catch rush hr busy ... On the other hand the asiana is only a 15 min trip from The airport in Dubai .... Top top Sri Lanka rupees closed currency so need to use ATM at Columbo airport .. Not a problem Though

Who are the holiday place ??!! Never heard of them until we were looking at travelling to Cuba for the first time. May 2015 Must say we were a little unsure, but there was no need. Well organised, please don't worry, they really know there stuff, we booked two weeks in veredero at the iberostar tanios, at their recommendation , had a hassle free wonderful holiday, the rep in Cuba is Cuban and is full of info about places to visit and Cuban people. We booked a trip with her an overnight stay in Havana and a show at the world famous Tropicana ( said to be the four best show in the world), we also visited bars recommended by her in veredero. We shall use them again. Just be prepared to pay immediately for your flight when booking, they get such good deals as the buy flights in various airlines sales, we flew with Thomas Cook but paid less than for same holiday with them. Highly recommended and shall use them again. Cheers

“Welcoming Kerala”

We went to Kerala earlier this month and had a super holiday. Organisation was excellent with no hitches at all. We were away for 12 nights and had a great variety - colonial town visit, tea plantation, forest trek, overnight stay on the backwaters and finally a few days on the beach. We arranged some of this ourselves within the framework provided by The Holiday Place who accommodated us very well. We will use them again for Cuba next year!

“Poor excursions and service”

I've recently been on a holiday to Cuba with The Holiday Place. The hotels and flights were fine, but the excursions were problematic.... - Tour guides turning up late, or not at all! - Excursions with missing activities. e.g vinales - no cigar factory. Journey to the heart of Cuba - no horse riding or snorkelling as promised. When you raise complaints, they don't bother coming back to you. Once they've got the money, they aren't interested. All the literature says you must book excursions with the Holiday Place rep or you won't have any come back. But if you do book with them, they don't come back to you! I wouldn't book with them again.

“Worst airline ever”

We had an excellent time in Cuba, the booking was straight forward and easy with the holiday place and cars for transfers instead of coach went smoothly but the airline used was below standard and because of that I would never book a holiday with them again, Air Europa website makes it look like a decent airline but it's like flying Ryan air for 12 hours with worse service. If the hotels and Cuba hadn't been so great it would have been a very painful journey for nothing. Go to Cuba but don't go with the holiday place.

“website full of incorrect information”

Tried to book for cuba online, looked like it had all gone through, but not a chance!! All of a sudden hotels that were available online were full! Offered substandard and when we changed our mind and decided to cancel we get told there may be charges, even though the hotel itself quite clearly advertise no charges with seven days if arrival, then further told five days to return our money, sorry but bacs transfer is instant. They lure you in and then become a nightmare, stay away, far away! Jaded my experienceso much that we cant face trying to get to Cuba at the moment.

Went to Mexico in June 2014. Had problems with emails re our tickets. We were really worried as we had not booked with them before. After several phone calls they sent the tickets in the post .We were told from another member of staff their emails were not being received. On arrival there was a holiday place rep and we were directed to our transport to resort. Everything else was perfect . Because of the service received we have booked for 2015 to Mexico
