I am due to fly with Thomas cook through Saga to Lanzarote in two days. I noticed I hadn't received any confirmation regarding my medical baggage, which was arranged months ago and they made several repeat calls regarding this that were unnecessary. I phoned this morning and they said they would arrange the rest of my medical baggage. They have arranged part of it butt no medication or other medical items that I need. I got a call back to say I have to telephone Thomas cook special assistance myself. Big hearted SAGA who was supposed to arrange it all months ago. At this stage and I have plenty of last minute things to do. I have been sitting waiting on Thomas cook special assistance for half an hour. It turns out that SAGA ave NOT ADDED ANYTHING TO MY BOOKING. I am now so stressed with it as it has taken me hours to organise this and I still dint have it in writing as it is now going to Germany for approval. I had a Holliday in Chiclana de la frontera in January last year. I stayed in the Royal Andaluse hotel. Everyone was so cold and there were heating problems. I was there 6 days and felt really ill with fever and a pain in my chest. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Saga would not even help me buy a ticket to get home and I had to buy online. They gave me a lift in the transfer bus across the bottom of Spain to Gibraltar and that was about the only help I got from them. This is definately my last trip with SAGA. I am flying in two days and no permission to carry essential medical equipment for my holiday as yet.
