First stay at Rodos Star Hotel & I am happy

This was my first trip to Rhodes and third trip to Greece. I would definitely visit the Rodos Star hotel again. The town below was warm and friendly as were the hotel staff, who helped out when my partner hurt her ankle and couldn't move for a day or two. Of course with the current financial situation the safe deposit and air conditioning were extra costs, but I was happy to pay as I felt guilty about how little I paid to stay all inclusive. All inclusive drinks were amazing and included reasonable choice. Pool not large but clean. Food excellent with large choice, but may get a bit samey for two weeks, but restaurant prices in town were very good if you need a break. No elevator so make sure to book ground floor if you can't manage stairs. Also hotel on a hillside with extremely steep road up, my partner struggled to walk up from the town. Taxis are great price and easily available, but would recommend a car or good mopeds as most tourist attractions are 40-90 minutes away. Beach is a 30 min walk across a very busy highway, so take the bridge if you can find it. Take plenty of anti-mosquito spray as some guests had dozens of bites. Main desk was manned through the night. Rooms cleaned every day, but bathroom was not as clean as my partner would have liked, there were some old seals, rusty metal etc. The toilet was difficult to access as it was wedged under the sink panelling so not ideal for those with mobility issues. Don't be put off by the little things as you will enjoy your stay.
