"Beautiful green island surrounded by idyllic clear waters - peaceful, clean and the only noise comes from the cicadas. Delicious food especially if you like fish, but the traditional Greek dishes are also exceptionally well prepared.

Stayed at the Ilias Apartments in Patitiri which were calm and clean and perfect for a simple holiday. Apartments a short stroll down the middle of the second road of the town past the bakers before reaching the harbour.

Patitiri is delightful small port with usual bustle. Worth hiring a car to see the various beaches - all worth visiting. Buy some shoes to thwart sea urchins and some mosquito spray - and probably worth investing in bottled wine, unless at Grandma's taverna in Steni Vala."

Illias Apartments looked after by a Greek couple who spoke no English but made up for it with smiles galore! Ate a Mousaka for the first time in 40 years following cold stiff predecessors and found it light and quite delicious.
