Went with Leger Travel for the D Day 70th Anniversary
guided tour . Hotel & food , acceptable . Coach & drivers
Very good . Managed to get a decent view point at the official ceremony attended by the Queen etc
Great bunch of people on the coach , all got on well .
We understand, there has to long days need to cover the miles , plenty of stops enroute .
The designated guide was the biggest disappointment , unsure if the person had the knowledge, experience or the training . Either was unable or even unwilling to actual perform the duties of a tour guide . Complete lack of empathy with the people on the tour .
Considering the event , we were given very , very little information , just told look at things mostly unaccompanied . More than likely would have got more information on a mystery tour !
Other passengers had been on a previous tour with same company and could not believe how bad it was , compared with their earlier trip .

I've had a guide like that on a Leger battlefield tour, so this comes as no surprise to me.

Don’t even bother complaining to Leger Holidays you’re wasting your time as every response to your complaint, no matter how bad, always finishes with the words similar to “We hope to see you again soon “. Even though you have emphasised in your letter, Leger Never Again!
