Not what was advertised

Booked a late deal & set off for a relaxing break. Hotel was ok it was a special break but expensive, take your credit card!!! Room service shocking. Spent £18 on a cheese board without plates or cutlery, called direct dial to no avail, same situation second night as ice machines on on all floors out of order, ice 1 hour later, view = building works across river. If booking please note this as it not mentioned in Blu Raddison & expectation of customer On checking out discussed room service with 'Will pass on your thoughts' To whom I ask, not sure but will pass on to Mr No name! Would not stay here again other than room is average for business travel but certainly not for time away in a stunning place like Durham. Would have appreciated notification of 'you are looking onto building site/ upgrading etc , Avoid = even at discount, this was our 30th Wedding Anniversary in our most loved place after Scotland. In closing avoid Blu hotel, it does not meet standards & please clear discarded cigarette ends from front and rear for travellers who do not smoke,,,
