As a regular traveller and frequent user of your site I would like to add my dismay in a recent booking. Booking made on Friday 15 march at Royal Oak Appleby, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel on Sunday 17 march. The booking was more than a week in advance, and I was informed that I would incur 25 percent charges!!! I emailed hotel to be told it was not them who had put this charge on as told by booking.com.......but actually booking.com.....I am intrigued why I have been misled by bookin.com and unfortunately will not book anything again through them.
