Lastminute.com - bravofly.com - you should be ashamed!


I wish to make a formal complaint to you regarding the appalling service that I have had. lastminute.com operates the bravofly.com flights bookings.


On APRIL 26th 2016 very carefully, after MUCH searching on the internet, my son and his friend picked flights from Jakarta to Sydney...... via bravofly.com. Flights were for 7th DECEMBER 2016 ----- booked well in advance! We completed the booking and I paid for the tickets using my debit card. All booked. Very exciting....Printed off all the confirmations and was very pleased it was all done in plenty of time.


Fast Forward to Start of July ........ The 2nd named passenger - NOT the Lead passenger gets a TEXT message from AIRASIA saying the flight has been cancelled. Because there was NO email to the Lead Passenger, we thought it might be a joke - so we called AIRASIA and they informed me that according to their system, the flight was still scheduled and had not been cancelled. So we scratched out heads and thought no more about it. Fast forward to 6/6/16 - an email arrives to the LEAD passenger...... saying flight is cancelled...... no reason given, just to contact BRAVOFLY.COM.

Called Bravofly.com on 7/6/16 and was told that yes the flight had been cancelled and the only option available was a refund. Ok, I said, how long will that take..... 5 - 15 days I am told. OK. I ensure that the lady who I speak to understands that the money must go back onto the card it was booked from, yes she has the details and no problem. I put the phone down still wondering WHY a flight booked for DEC 16 would get cancelled in JUNE 16.


5/15 days later NO REFUND in my account..... call Bravofly.com --- am told this refund will be happening very soon.

20 days later NO REFUND in my account....... call Bravofly.com -- am told that they are contacting the airline to request the refund, HANG ON.... 20 days later and they are just now requesting the refund??? I make a point of saying that this is really bad service and that I  was not given correct information. I ask where my £350 is....... the lady says she believes it is with AIRASIA who cancelled the flight.......

25 days later NO REFUND in my account ...... getting annoyed now, call Bravofly.com once again....... this time I get a chap on the line who says, its very unusual for the refund to take this long --- er I don't think so, I have now been online myself and seen that there are hundreds and thousands of people complaining about Bravofly and lastminute.com and how bad they are at refunding money. Wow thats a lot of money that they take, hold,hold,hold and make you pay to call them, hold, hold, hold. Still no refund.

32 days later NO REFUND in my account...... starting to think that this is a company that I should have done a background search on to check if they were any good. Always thought lastminute.com was half decent. WRONG there. Call again. Angry this time and the man agrees this is unacceptable amount of time and says he will request that the refund be done from their end immediately instead of me having to wait for the airline to refund them.

37 days later NO REFUND in my account ...... really, I mean come on. I paid this money online and it was done in an instant, all virtual and without any waiting.... so how come Bravofly cant get AIRASIA to give the money back. And what happened to requesting that Bravofly.com sort it out?? JOKE.

40 days later NO REFUND in my account ...... yet another call to the Bravofly call centre which is not located in the UK even though you call a UK number. I speak to a VERY Rude guy who says that I am lying, nobody would have said they would ensure the refund was made. Refunds are only made once the airline pays back the money..... and that has not, in fact it was only requested from AIRASIA on 20th June....... WHAT????? By now I am actually think that these companies BRAVOFLY.COM - LASTMINUTE.COM along with AIRASIA are actually working together to KEEP my money! making interest while its in their accounts.

44 days later NO REFUND in my account..... I very calmly call up and discuss yet again, what on earth has occurred. This time I point out that at NO time, has BRAVOFLY bothered to send an email update, giving any reason for cancellation or telling me where in the world is my money. I have NO REFUND and no FLIGHTS......... Grrrrrrrrrrr

46 days later NO REFUND in my account....... Bravofly.com is called yet again by myself, and I speak to a chap who once again apologies and says it is the fault of AIRASIA --- and gives me the complaints email address, again. This time I try to contact AIRASIA myself, only to discover they don'thave a UK number, no I will have to call Singapour. No thanks. I then read online there are complaint after complaint after complaint about AIRASIA not giving refunds for months and months. I call Bravofly.com back and I say this is not acceptable and what are they going to do...... Man says, we can do nothing, its in the small print saying we cannot refund any monies which we have paid to airline until airline refunds us.


So...... now I am complaining via email at the shocking service. Lack of communication and despite calling, calling and requesting info we have NOT been given any. At one point somebody mentioned an air traffic control strike..... 6 months ahead of time as the reason that flights were cancelled.

My point here is, where is exactly is the MONEY????????? Who has it, and why has it not gotten back to my account just as fast as when I paid it, which was very very quick.

I request an explanation, and also to find out what compensation Bravofly.com or lastminute.com are offering me, for all the time wasted calling, calling again and calling and calling yet again. I booked flights in APRIL and its not end of JULY and I have no flight and
NO REFUND.

Answer this email.... I have every intention of making sure that this is made public to warn the world just how shocking your service is. I request the money be back in my account within 48 hours.

How unusual, I have not heard ANYTHING from you guys, no reply to this email, which was sent over a week ago, and lo and behold ................NO REFUND as of 1/8/16 - 7 weeks after you promised a refund within 5-15 days.........

At least have the courtesy to EMAIL a reply.
