I have recently been on a trip with Jet 2 to Lanzarote. Coming up to the trip i read some concerning reviews about the resort being family orientated and engaged with Jet 2 on this. First call was great the chap said I could cancel this trip and move another trip I had booked forward to replace this trip, no mention of extra costs. When I called back the next day a different agent brought up cancellation charges and administrative fees and allowing me 24 hrs to find another suitable accomodation as my second trip location was not available for this date. After a couple of weeks of enquiries as to why the difference in approach and getting confirmation from management on Jet 2's final stance it was that I had 24 hrs before flying to either find alternative accomodation for the same date or with fees find an alternative date and accomodation that suited, which I can only assume Jet 2's staff annual leave policy must be very flexible as Im assuming they are quite capable of rearranging leave cover etc within 24hrs.
I left for the resort on the original date with the last call from a Jet 2 manager saying you will be coming back and writing great reviews about your holiday.
I was the only solo adult at the resort, all pools and activities where for children, this made for a very uncomfortable trip. By day 3 id had enough asked Jet 2 to find me alternative accomodation at another resort, it took them 24hrs to confirm they had none (all calls where initiated by me no information was volunteered by a call received by me). i then asked them to get me on the next flight home, they called with this offer, at extra cost you have two hours to get yourself to your hotel get yourself packed get your own transport to the airport and had I not made it on time it would have been a missed flight at my expense.
Jet 2's mission statement is the package holidays you can trust. Given my above experience (and thst only the highlights) i found this not to be true and therefore requested that my second trip be cancelled with full refund. To date Jet 2 have refused to entertain any refund for an awful holiday and will only cancel my second trip with full loss of payment to me. this will run for a long time as what Jet 2 do not highlight in the purchasing process of yor holiday that should you wish to address any issues with Jet2 after your trip you can only do so via email and each email has a 21 or 28 day response time, to know this detail whilst booking online you would have to have clicked on Contact Us, then something like After Trip.

There are several issues here, for me, Jet 2 are a family and family only tour broker, lesson learned by me. The Package holidays you can trust is not true and therefore is false to use it. Customer service whilst on your holiday is poor but post holiday is almost non existant. I have learnt the hard way that I cannot use Jet 2 again as I hev no trust in their services and I would be wary of a company that at no point in any of these conversattions challenged a single adult males purpose for going to a child orientated holiday resort.
