Great Stay at Royal Sunset

We stayed in Royal Sunset Villa for ten days. We know the area well, having visited this part of Tenerife for several years now. The villa itself was clean, spacious and very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need for self catering. We didn't think enough towels were provided, but this was quickly rectified by the rep. The private, heated pool is a really good size and depth, and a fantastic asset, as is the table tennis table. The location is just a few minutes' walk (downhill) to the main street. A twenty minute walk through Puerto de Santiago and along a picturesque path will take you to Los Gigantes. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and if you don 't fancy the uphill climb home, taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. We had a hire car, and parked on the street outside, which seemed very quiet and safe. However, you could easily manage without your own transport.
While the villa was perfect for us as a family with two teenagers, it might not be so good for wee ones, as the pool doesn't really have a shallow end. It might also pose problems for people with mobility problems as there are steps up from the street to the property, though it's all on the same level once you're inside (with the exception of a basement utility room).
