“Bhutan Trip”

An expensive trip to Bhutan after Cox and Kings recommended. Tickets not sent until 5 days before departure. Hotels changed at short notice. The ones allocated were very disappointing and guide had to take us out to eat at several restaurants as food limited and poor quality. Hotel facilities inadequate and of poor standard for such an expensive trip. The vehicle assigned to us was only only suitable for short journeys and we were travelling 7/8 hours in it some days. Very cramped and not fit to cope with the difficult roads.
Told 3 days before we were due to fly out of a Bhutan flight over booked and we would have to stay an extra night This was extremely stressful as we had made arrangements in Katmandu that we would miss. Eventually after toing and froing we told after two days we could get on the flight the next day We were upgraded to business class. We were also given a guide and car in Katmandu for which we were grateful
We wrote to Cox and Kings about this and received a rather hollow respond to our complaints They offered £150 off a future trip
Just to let others know Cox and Kings did not live up our standards of expectations and would not recommend them to any one without reviewing thoroughly their intinerary

We're sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your holiday with us and apologise again that it didn't meet your expectations. Our customer service team who handled the complaint you made with us at the time, did take all of your comments on board and it has been discussed with both our product team in the London office, and with our team on the ground in Bhutan.
