My parents travel twice a year and always prefer to take vacation packages from one of the tour companies for the ease of tour planning and vegetarian food options.
They are on a tour rite now of 9d/8n Singapore/ Malaysia/ Thailand with cruise. But due to the visa problem they will have to come back to India in 3 days without completing the tour.
the story is like this: they went last year December on a southeast Asia tour and had visas for Singapore and Malaysia. so i called up the concerning agent of Cox and king here and told them about it. he told me to send the copy of passports and visas and the collected the passport to do Thailand visa. I asked him if there is a refund since we already have the visa? to which of course he said its included in the tour prices and we cannot discount it. After 10-15 days they got the Thailand visa done and said he will check and bring all the papers at once. my parents left for tour on the 8th of oct. 2013... they were in Singapore for 2 days and today was suppose to go Malaysia and then take the cruise from there on Sunday. To there surprise at the Malaysia airport the immigration office checked and said my mothers visa is was only valid for three months from the date issued in dec 2012. and since they don't have visa on arrival they will have to go back to Singapore or India.
my parents who are both over 60 years old had to take a local bus to go back alone to Singapore and then walk to cross border and immigration and then find a hotel to stay in Singapore. now they have to stay in Singapore and take a flight back to India tomorrow night without anyone to help them for food and going around. Cox and king conveniently changed there sin-Delhi ticket to sin-Mumbai... i guess coz it was cheaper... and when i told them that I want them to come back today they said there are no seats in any flights while my agent said you an get tickets in both sin 'Delhi and sin 'Mumbai flights.
so for there neglince of not CHEKCING THE PAPERS properly we have to loose money/ time and go through this sad ordeal. i had expected an extra effort from there team to make things right.
Sad these companies don't care about there customers.
I called the agent and now they are proposing as its all our fault. when they took the passports and checked everything
We have take south Africa tour, Australia/new Zealand tour and Europe tour with them and i was expecting a little more then just SORRY for there mistake.

Cox & Kings India,

you are an organisation which does not care for customer satisfaction. your kashmir package was the worst nightmare for us. you changed the hotels and downgraded them. the rooms were stinking. you promised buffet meals and what we ate was animal fodder. there was nobody to guide properly. hidden expenses were 40% of the package. going by our experience we will never want another family to experience this nightmare. you are simply third class
