Booking.yeah????

I stayed at a guest house in Lisbon, Portugal advertised on booking.com and it was the most hideous place I've ever seen (smelly room, old, not kept up building, a bidet literally at the foot of the bed, 2 euros to use a towel, no elevator and it's on the 4th floor, no staff at the place). As soon as I looked at the room I wanted to cancel but there was nobody there to talk to and booking.com said the price was non-refundable. I wrote a negative review with pictures and booking.com didn't publish it. I didn't write anything inflammatory, except what I already stated here and that I thought booking.com should have done a better job of screening the businesses that they list on their site. I guess they are touchy about criticism. I find this unforgivable because it goes to their credibility. I no longer trust them to be honest in their reporting of reviews and it makes me wonder what other negative reviews have been censored. Because of this I will no longer use their service.
