My daughter & I were travelling to Omaha to visit the zoo and also a wedding. I placed my reservations on Booking.com 17 days before I travelled. You would think that was plenty of time, right?? WRONG!!! My YOUNG daughter & I arrived at our destination (I was sent confirmation with an itinerary number prior to travel)at 8:30 at night. I am never sure of the area when booking online... Comfort Suites in Council Bluffs, Iowa did NOT have our reservation when we got there! AND they had no vacancies for the night! So, of course, I called booking.com. Their ONLY fix was "we have availability at the Microtel, for more money, and you can do it online". REALLY? I'm STRANDED in a city I don't know, and that's all you can say? When I talked to the Manager (Arelli) I didn't even get an apology. She wasn't mean or rude, but could have AT LEAST told me she was sorry this happened to me. I will NEVER, EVER use booking.com again! JUST CALL THE HOTEL!! You will have better luck! Of course, the hotel said they never rec'd the reservation & booking.com blamed it on the hotel. Either way, I went through booking.com & they SHOULD HAVE handled it! Period.
