After booking a hotel on Booking.com, I was able to find the exact room much cheaper. Even the hotel itself offered lower rates by making a phone call. I submitted the information to booking.com and got a generic "we'll investigate and get back to you" response. After several days I tried calling the customer service number and was told it was handled by a different department and they will call back within 5 days. I waited the five days and still received no response. I cancelled the reservation made through Booking.com and went elsewhere for the same room at a much better rate! I didn't feel comfortable entrusting my vacation plans to a website that offers such poor customer service.
