Great last minute experience

Firstly I must congratulate A1travel on the service they provided , everything ran smoothly from getting our confirmation to our flight home. We booked last minute something we have not done before, but would again, we got great value for the money we paid . Our hotel complex was the callas de la Majorca, a complex made up of three fairly old hotels, the main two hotels Mastines and Chihuahua overlooked the large pool and coastline of the area, as it was first week in August this was packed out with sun beds with no chance of getting one. We were booked into the third hotel Balmoral, this had a smaller pool again which got packed out early on, but at least we could get a sun bed easily and sun bath in the gardens which was far nicer than the crowded other options. balmoral although the more dated of the three was fine, our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels also provided daily too. Our room was at the front of the hotel with a sea view and only a good five minute walk to the most lovely beach with the little mojito bar and its excellent chilled music, the sea was the bluest I'd ever seen and was great for swimming etc..

We were on a budget this year and decided on this complex as it was all inclusive, again for tHe money we paid you could not fault what we got, the service was fine and the food was excellent throughout, although the snacks were basically left overs from lunch or dinner and tended to be cold, this didn't bother us as we had enough from main meal times anyway. There was always something freshly cooked and the omelettes at breakfast were fab.

All in all we had a good time and value for money at this place, I couldn't fault A1 in their part in booking this holiday for us we even got adjoining rooms for the kids, the four of us enjoyed our stay and would probably venture back at a quieter time of year. I read reviews on this place on trip advisory and yes there is good and bad, but for the price and if you don't mind a slightly dated hotel(s) but very clean then this is the place for you, but avoid the mega height of the season around the pools!
