I paid extra to go on a first class ticket from Manchester to durham on 30th june 2013 and it was very noisey, engine right under my seat, rattling, baby crying, bright lights at night, no coffee or refreshments brought to you...absolutely not worth the money...my train ride from chester to manchester was 100 times better and quieter and wasnt first class!!
