Fredamay's review of Melton Mowbray, Twin Lakes Leisure Park

“Unfair reviews nearly put me off”

★★★★☆

written by Fredamay on 12/08/2014

I had purchased a discount family ticket for Twinlakes but after reading reviews on here we nearly did not go. So glad we still went.

Twinlakes may mis represent itself in it's publicity as it gives the impression of being similar to Drayton manor - it is not. It is a park for under 13's.

It is a brilliant park for under 13's. Take your own picnic and they expect you to with areas everywhere.

I went into 3 toilets throughout the day and all were clean or bring cleaned.

The staff we met were friendly from parking to cleaning staff.

Obviously you will get dusty as they also have large areas with animals in. We saw the keepers caring well and we talked to them about the animals . They were very knowledgable.

The only very tiny criticism was the amount of water left in the log flume. You could not sit in it without getting wet. That was before the ride had moved. As it moved it moved from one end to the other and I got off soaked but not from the ride :-(

Queues were small on all rides. There was no point when we were bored. There were appropriate rides for different ages in areas so fortunately we could happily have a 9 year and a 12 year old happily entertained at the saw time.

Over priced if you pay the on the day price, but we have been about 4 times over the years and have always managed to find an offer.

It gets better each time.
