just returned from captivating china tour. must say fantastic the people on the tour were great as was the tour director(Li)Places visited knocked your socks off.Plenty of fun and laughter.
Just one grey area,the subject of tipping,this really should be addressed.
It was confusing many fellow travellers as to what was expected to give for a tip,particulary as many guides were only with us a short time.We all felt that maybe Archer's would be better putting an additional amount on the cost of the holiday to cover tips,as indeed it does with the Yangtze cruise element of the tour, so much easier.The confusing part was do we still tip our director on the days we have local guides or not. Would have been a five star review if not for this.
