brakenoodle's review of Samsung

“Korean Television Made In Hungary?”

Written on: 30/10/2012 by brakenoodle (32 reviews written)

The Samsung brand attracted me so I took the plunge and purchased a 42" LED TV expecting a quality product. I was wrong. The picture is okay but everything else is frustrating. Firstly the instruction book is not good enough, vague and poorly written which is a problem when you want to do something like retune the TV. The on screen display has a delayed action of 2-3 seconds when you press any button on the remote, almost like it is thinking about what you have asked it to do. This delay is frustrating because you are not sure if you have pressed the button hard enough. The other stupid thing is the manual controls on the front of the TV, which are black on a black background and almost invisible; classic form over function. Because I cannot easily see the on/off switch, I have resorted to switching it off at the socket which is not ideal. The sticker on the back says everything really: 'Made in Hungary'. Not recommended.
