“Impressed!”

★★★★☆

I'm always seeking out new herbal blends of tea, and I recently came across 'Three Fennel' - a blend of sweet fennel, fennel leaf and wild fennel. Pukka do a range of 'three' teas, including three green and three ginger, and I have always found these blends really palatable. I was a little hesitant at first, as I have drank fennel teas before and never been overly impressed. However, it seems Pukka have got the perfect balance with this one - not too 'aniseedy' but not too sweet at the same time. It really tastes like you are drinking a blended tea, rather than just one flavour. Its brilliant as an after dinner 'digestif' - you can really feel the benefits. If I'm after something a little sweeter, half a teaspoon of raw honey works really well. Price wise, it wasn't too bad for a herbal tea - £2.29 for a box of 20. I was close to giving it 5 stars, but I'm only going to give it four this time, simply because there are a few other teas that I still prefer. That being said, it will still be a regular visitor to my tea shelf!

“Very Tasty!”

This is a very nice herbal tea. I often find that fruit-flavoured herbal teas can be a bit tasteless, but ones made with proper herbs are generally a bit nicer. This blend has a really robust flavour - loads of aniseed, and it's really nice if you add a spoon or two of sugar, or a dollop of honey. I have taken to adding this to other herbal blends that I drink for medicinal reasons, to compensate for taste. At £2.25 for 20 sachets, it's a bit pricey, but the tea is organic which I suppose will add to the cost. If it was cheaper, I'd probably drink it a lot more often, but there simply aren't many other herbal teas with as much flavour, so it's worth it overall.
