How lovely is this Twinings Chai tea? It's just fabulous. Proper tea-tasting tea but with a bit of spice for good measure.

I have been enjoying Earl Grey and also Lady Grey for quite some time now, as I'm a big fan of aromatic teas, but I decided to try something different. I went to the supermarket and I noticed Chai on the shelf. I brewed it for three minutes like it said on the packet. I added a little sugar to bring out the spices. I thought it was a delicious. I loved the flavour of the ginger and cinammon. I definetely recommend this tea to anone who wants an aromatic, full flavoured tea.

Twinings Chai is a tea with a difference. The flavour of Indian spices makes it taste warm and satisfying for cold winter nights. It is flavoured with Ginger Root, Cloves and Cinnamon Bark along with the natural flavour of Indian Tea.
Chai is the word for tea in Indian culture. It is suggested the tea is drunk black, although in India it is drunk sweetened and with a little milk. This is by far the best taste, as when lightly sweetened it brings the spicy flavour more to life.
It should be brewed for 3-5 minutes as with all tea. It will seem a little pale in colour when milk is added, but the taste and aroma is wonderful! I can liken it a little to an alternative mulled wine for us non drinkers. It really makes you feel warm and comfortable inside on a cold winter's day.
It can also be wonderfully refreshing at any time of the year, drank at any time of day. I would say it can be a bit of an acquired taste, but if you like the taste of mulled wine, you will probably like this.

Twinnings Chai with some honey and a dash of milk is an excellent drink to curl up on the sofa with on a Sunday and watch TV.
