“inflexible and appalling customer service”

I have a £100 sainsbury's giftcard, and as I dont live anywhere near a sainsbury's store I decided to use it to buy an ipad. These appeared online but found that I coudnt use a Sainsburys gift card to purchase online. I then phoned sainsbury's and was advised that the nearest store had them in stock. So I made the 20 mile round trip to the store to find that they didnt have any in stock and had no idea if they would ever get any in stock. They gave me a number to call. I called this number who said I would have to go to Great Yarmouth (100 mile roundtrip) or Ely (75mile roundtrip). Was advised that they have difficulty getting ipads in stock. Which if true is appaling stock management as all other stores dont seem to have an issue obtaining stock.
