toffeeman18781878's review of Morrisons

“Own Brand Nightmare”

Written on: 01/09/2013 by toffeeman18781878 (1 review written)

Having not shopped at a Morrisons for about 2 years we decided to give it ago.
Branded foods such as Heinz, Robinsons, Birds Eye were much more expensive that Sainsburys, ASDA and Tesco, but the own brand items seemed to be muck more of a bargain.
BIG MISTAKE. Lemonade tasted terrible, Lime Cordial tasted like nothing I have ever tasted before and the lot went down the sink.
Own brand veggie burgers were another waste of money, bought a four pack and three and a half went in the bin.
The worst product however was the own branded cheese. Tasteless! I do not know what exactly they are marketing as white Cheshire cheese but Cheshire cheese it is not.
Its ok to sell cut price food, it should be commended, but you have to have some level of taste and quality, and Morrisons own brand have neither.
Top Tip Two: If you want to buy named brands, Tesco and ASDA are far cheaper.
