I recently visited The Bike Company in Windsor and I was really impressed with the friendly nature and helpful service the staff offered. I was looking for a new bike for my daughters 12th birthday, they recommended a lovely bike and also advised me of the equipment required for her to safely ride the roads such as lights. I was initially surprised by their suggestion to add lights as the bike came with front and rear reflectors but they took the time to explain the reasons why lights were essential as I hadn't really thought about their importance before. They also recommend she have a prop stand so she didn't leave the bike laying on the floor and of course an all important well fitting helmet. When I took my daughter to collect her bike they had remembered that it was for her birthday and they wished her a Happy Birthday when bringing the bike out. I would highly recommend this shop as they are clearly passionate about all types of cycling and could not be more helpful.

After looking for a winter bike I went to the Windsor store to have a look at the offerings they had. For what i was looking for , it was clear i could not find it off the shelf. The guys were fantastic, and took time to go through lots of options and did searches on the internet for me (whilst supplying me with ample tea and biscuits ) I already own a Cervelo S2 and love it, so the suggestion was to opt for a Cervelo S1, a lower cost, ally version of my carbon machine. They managed to get a new S1 frame from Cervelo and worked with me to get a great set of kit to go with it, whilst keeping to my original £1k budget!!! anyone out there knows a Cervelo S1 frame alone costs £999.00. I did have the wheels, but hey its a fab bike! once we agreed on the spec, the guys orderd up the kit and had the bike built up ready for the following weekend (although it snowed and i couldnt ride) I had a number of calls from them explaining how the build was going and to how i wanted the bike set up tweeking,,, They did insist i purchased winter tyres, as my tyres on my stock wheels were lets say used!! ( i had been using them on my turbo trainer ) All in all i cant believe how great the guys were, from start to finish, and since then ive been in to get a few adjustments!! Martyn the Manager really looked after me, also Diego, David on the other times i went in. As for the prices, i really am happy! i got a great bike at average bike money! Thanks everyone at the Windsor shop!!

Booked my bike in for a service to my brakes. They saw my bike beforehand and gave me a price for the small job. When I went to pick my bike up, they had changed the price of the job, saying it took longer and was more complicated than they thought. Did they not think of phoning to advise me of this before they went ahead, like a car service co would do? They also charged me for a full bottle of fluid, which was only partially used. I explained that they had given me a quote on viewing the brakes on my bike, so should honour it, but they weren't interested and would not hand my bike back without me paying the price they wanted for it. I went there as the price they quoted was not too expensive rather than doing it myself, but if ihad know the price they were going to charge me, I would have done it myself. This particular store had only just opened so won't be going back there again, nor advising any of my biking friends there either. Terrible customer service by arrogant rude staff. You thought they might have honoured the original price as newly opened to gain new customers!!
