When I upgraded my contract last year I was talked into getting this phone. What swung it for me was the HD video. The camera quality is very good and the video quality is good BUT you can't really tell when you have taken good quality pictures as the screen isnt very good, and in order to take good HD videos you need to put the phone on something steady as even the pulse in my thumb seems to make the camera shake too much to get good video. The absolute best bit of the phone is its sound recording. I recorded my band practice live (very loud) and it didn't even peak that badly compaired to other phones such as iphone. Saying that, the phone part of the phone is terrible, the internet is very bad. The whole OS is terrible actually. I had a Nokia with Symbian and liked it so was expecting this phone to be an improvement or at least as good. It wasn't. I don't think it was tested enough before they released it. One major design flaw is that the back case clips on. If it was on a hinge it would be a lot better as it would enable me to easily open it every time I have to take the battery out when my phone crashes 3-4 times a day. (It was a lot worse before the update) I have'nt met anyone who owns one who likes this phone yet. One other bad point about my phone is that Orange put their own skin on it so orange maps instead of google maps and orange app store instead of the sony erricson one. I ended up buying an app that was completely not compatible and wasting money which wasnt good. Avoid it. Get an android or iphone instead!

I have had my vivaz for 6 months and it's never worked properly even after repairs carried out with software updates. The worse prolem they can not fix is it keeps turning it's self off even with a full battery so I have now given up and gone back to my old phone.
My advice research the phones on line before accepting any upgrade.

I upgraded to this from a LG viewty, I choose it because of the camera 8.1 mega pixels. The camera is very good cannot fault it. You can take panaramic shots and it has face recognition setting. Th rest of the phone however is not as good. I found it to be slow. Whether it be just loading things through the menu or using the facebook app. I have now exchanged this phone as I could not warrant spending the amount of money on it I did for how rubbish it was.

My sister bought the ruby red Vivaz on Vodafone today. The phone is slim and very stylish with a 8 mp camera and HD video. It comes with stylus and it has a huge touchscreen. However, it is plain awful to use. I bluetoothed an mp3 from my phone to be used as a ringtone. It wouldn't allow the mp3 to be used as a ringtone until you went into profile and set it to personalised. We then wanted to assign a ringtone to a contact but it never came up in the list to choose from - it eventually showed up when I sent another mp3 by bluetooth (but the new tune did not show). It also got stuck on the message view - touching contacts didn't bring up the list of contacts as we expected until we closed the messages. This is going to be very hard to get used to! I think I will stick to my W705.
