The boards suck, you get what you pay for! brand new complete board for 50.00! thats he cost of just a good deck!... its made for beginners, Chetty wheels, slow bearings, weak trucks.. and laslty weak wood! im an experienced skate boarder and got one as a gift, i put real trucks bearing and wheels, thinking the deck would be good. After skating it hard like i normally would any other board it snapped doing an impossible on flat ground!! i noticed it felt different too, almost fakish like, So i suggest you only get these boards if youre a beginner but upgrade the trucks, bearings and wheels.... at that cost better yet just buy a skateshop complete.... im thinking all the bad reviews are coming from experienced skateboarders and all the good ones are coming from beginners because there is no way these boards can last after some real skating!

I have skate nearly 3 months with a complete skateboard.I must say the deck is pretty tough eventhough I usually slammed it to the walls,on the ground...because of the tricks.I did alot of tail drag too so my deck now have razor tail and pretty damaged(it starts delamination)but I can fix it and continue to skate :D. The bad thing is the wheels,if you're on the flat ground it's great but it gets sticky when you're on not very plain surface(hard to slide).

Yep. About a month usage, it (wood) broke near the front truck. There goes 75€ to the trash. It was a darkstar complete, I mean, wheels were alright, very plasticky, trucks were alright too, graphics were a bit gay but wtvr. And then, while landing a simple Ollie, it just broke. Never going to waste my money on a darkstar *thing* again. Bye. btw, I had a feeling it was a bit heavy, but I don't know if that was just my impression.

Darkstar Deck is the best. It has a beautiful concave, its like heaven, it has massive pop. The graphic gets scratched off wich is normal and I highly reccomend the deck, their wheels are great. What i like is that i get a lot of pop with this board and the concave gives better control. The deck is also very light. It is great for boardslides, tailslides, noseslides and lipslides coz it slides well. And its really great to get the deck thats guarenreed never to break. What I dont like is thier trucks on their completes. I would've liked to know about the trucks before I purchased the complete beacause I could've had a backup. Thier trucks aren't bad at all, bt not the best, they have a fast response to pop and turning, they're just not my favorite, the trucks are also slick for grinding wich is fantastic just as everything on this board is perfect. I love the flick coz this board helped me in getting my tre flips down, I learnt a tre flip, fullcab in just a few days so Darkstar completes/decks are perfect not only for experts but great for learning with.

The skate is fantastic, but sometning i am thinking a lot of it is how much weight is the border of this skate!!! Can someone tell me? I am worry about this. Please tell me!

I have to say that the darkstar skateboards are a good design and have good 'pop' but the one criticism I have to say is that the wheels are very plasticky. Whenever I use it the wheels seem to almost 'stick' to the path and rapidly slow me down meaning I need to push every 5-10 seconds which gets pretty irritating when all your friends are passing you. This is not the bearings since I have changed them very recently. Other than that though I have to say that is it a good board and is just worth the money I payed for it.

if a board is a bad shape, that you don't like then you will not skate as well on it! its all about personal preference...

i loved this board and it handled like a dream. The board is quite hard wearing and it took a battering for a while... but... after a year i broke it.

In general Darkstar is the best board I have ever skated

This is an ok Deck, but only because it was free. The best things in life are free but I wouldn't ever buy one. The pop isn't all that great, although I liked it I guess. The wood itself retained its pop well, and the wood is ok too. I would buy one if it was made un the America's, but I don't want every company making their stuff in China soon, so I'll support THEM by buying their American made products. Darkstar's been a nice experience though, but if they were cheap as world industries (which are the exact same as Darkstar, almost, and Enjoi since they're all dwindle brands), then I might buy one or two. but since they come from China, and cost the same as every other deck, even though the POINT of making them in China was to 'make it cheaper for Skaters to buy', its pretty obvious that they're only made there to make them cheaper to MAKE.

dude, i had a free darkstar too, loved the tail and shape, i ollied a 4 block and it never got pressure cracks, only down side to this board i saw was major chipping and a little razor tail but other than that really great

Darkstar, Almost and Enjoi are all made in the same factory, they use the same wood and glue, Darkstar have an exclusive design called armor light which is guaranteed for 30 days, and almost have the new impact support boards coming out that feature carbon fibre discs in all the common breaking points.
This proves that Darkstar, Almost and Enjoi are all the same so go for one of them because you wont be disappointed.
Heavier skaters should go for resin 8, resin 9 or armor light because resin 7 is a tiny bit stronger than the regular deck but is still breakable, resin 8 is 8ply and uses the same epoxy glue as resin 7 and 8 resin 9 is 9ply and uses the same epoxy glue and is exclusive to Darkstar, armor light is 7ply but has carbon composite centre that makes it so strong that only around 16 boards have been broken within the 30 day guarantee, this makes the armor light perfect for heavier skaters.

Ok, i have to say i think the grafics on Darks Stars are ok but this board is soooo bad. I got one as a spare deck for when my Flip deck snapped because it was pretty close to that, so i got Darkstar Armorlights recommended to me so i thought that they were worth a try and i managed to snap it after 4 times out on it. The snap came as no suprise because the board was so bendy and it snapped when i did a simple bean plant

It is the stuff you guys are crazy for. I have a armor light team deck silver and black and it has hella pop and i skate everyday from dusk till dawn on the weekends and from 3 to 9 on the school days and it has lasted me like 2 months and i do huge stuff and i'm fat so it is a good board

I got this Chet Thomas drip logo "Monster Mold" board in new jersey for 35 dollars. It came with free black magic grip tape and some hardware. I mounted it on my board. The first ollie i did was only 3in high and i average 9-10in. also it felt soggy and the pop sounded damp and not clean. The monster mold concave leaves a flat beam in the centre, whitch is uncomfortable and a DEEP concave, which was way to uncomfortable.
NOT GOOD WHATSOEVER. Also the nose was to low so my foot allways slipped of whenever i ollied

I have two Darkstar Armor light decks the Chet Thomas one and the Paul Machu deck and I love them. :D Kudos to Darkstar. Darkstars never break they are sick and their pop lasts forever compared to other boards and also I've never chipped or broken one. They have a weird feel to them but you get used to it real fast. And they have kinda flip but other than that they're awesome.

I dont Think you should compare their walmart boards to their normal decks. Im pretty sure the are totally different, darkatar got their own fabric were they single press boards while other companies press 5 at the time. Darkstar probably make those wallmart boards to earn an extra buck cuz the kids used to think they were the coolest thing in the world. This makes them able to keep the prices low on the normal decks. Thats my 2 cents.
