we found that Oohla in Dunfermline was a nice place to visit, good atmosphere, good food, staff attentive. The cakes and bread are to die for, they are made on the premises and i have not seen or tasted better products!

Oohla is a nice looking eatery at the bottom of Dunfermline High Street.
Upon entry we were greeted politely by a member of the waiting staff and seated almost directly adjacent to the main door and service area despite the restaurant being almost empty. I asked if it would be okay to move to another table, which did not prove a problem.
Drinks were ordered and served quickly and the food order was taken shortly afterwards, providing adequate time to browse the menu.
The food was very tasty and nicely presented. Side salad was served with both an open baguette and baked potato. The only complaint being lack of butter on the baked potato.
Upon finishing our meal no staff approached to ask if we would like a sweet or coffee. I approached the counter to obtain service but had to wait while 3 members of staff chatted, seemingly oblivious to my presence.
Upon ordering a sweet our table was cleared quickly except for a few stray pieces of salad that had found their way off our plates and onto the table. My sweet was served on a plate beautifully decorated with drizzled syrup, but without any cutlery with which to eat it.
